Years ago, I stopped at the Flying J in Winslow to fuel. A big-### long nose Pete, plain white, pulled into the fuel bay next to me and set his brakes. THEN, a plain white van with blackout windows pulled in front of the Pete, nose-to-nose, and 3 "men in black" jumped out from the siding door; Cheap black suits, aviator glasses, earpiece, the whole works. One guy wen to the left tank, one to the right, and the 3rd guy just stood, arms crossed, in front of the Pete's grill.

I looked closer at the truck; there were gun ports in the doors, the sleeper walls, and the truck had bullet-proof tires ans automatic chains as well as a sander. The driver sat behind the wheel, never even looked tom the sides. The engine was never shut down. As soon as they stopped fuelling, the guys got back into the van and backed out, the truck was put in gear, and it drove off.

Forty years later, I STILL don't know what I saw. Carrying money? Gold? Missiles? Plutonium? Dick Cheney??
