I have a Cobra 29LX that has been peaked, tuned, and a supermod (whatever that is, yes I admit I know very little about cb's and fell for the sales pitch at the cb shop :biggrin_2552:)
I have thought about getting a Galaxy DX959, is it worth it, would it be better than what I already have?

The 959 would be good if you wanted to occasionally talk on the single side bands, provided the other driver also had a sideband radio. Otherwise I'd keep what you have.

I say go ahead and get it. Give it a try. If you don't like it you can always use it for a spare. Two things a trucker can never have too many of. Logbooks and radios.
