Well again back in the day or even today for some shaping was a way to get your foot in the door, and one of the old sayings sprung from that, that i"m sure you all heard of "The Early Bird Gets The Worm"... Meaning for Teamsters or Carpenters from my own experience with both of these trades, with the team it was 5 o"clock, for the carp. it was 6 o"clock, so get there at least half hour or more before and get on the line, hopefully be first as that was a sure thing you would be sent out to a job, and if not you would stick around till 9am or 10am and talk, network, you know Brotherhood, and don"t get it twisted because union or not it is a Brotherhood. Also you would stick around because the calls that would come in later would be starts for the next day, so the guys who cut out early, Oh Well....Persistence would pay off to, the Business Agent who saw you everyday early an sticking around would get you on a good job. With the Team it was 1 maybe 2 days a week, but after a month or so i was working every day. They want to see your work ethic, can you get along, ect...........:yes2557:."The Three Golden Rules That Apply To Any Job"...........:yes2557:

I worked with a girl when I was at Central, more importantly, she was pretty decent looking and aroud 27-28 years old. High rear end ratio on that rig. She was nice too. No Brumhilda mustache or cigarette breath or anything. I did work with another couple of "females", which I'm sure were born females but didn't quite look like it anymore LOL

They called me for an interview as a fresh grad, mind you I already have an offer from Schneider Bulk to start August 4th.

I also live in Staten Island, New York, but this ABF gig is in Carlisle, PA and they said I have to move to PA.

What do I do I am a confused newbie. Any thoughts.
