If you just ignore it because they say it was paid, they will eventually come after you.
If you go spend all day at the court trying to get it corrected, you will have wasted a full day, because the judge will admonish the clerk and release you with no charges.
Isn't that the way it works?

No sir, it isn't.

I am thinking I should at least call the clerk and give the clerk my driver's license number and ask her to do a search for outstanding citations. Maybe my name got attached to a different citation number... one that i am not privy to.
kylefitzy Thanks this. -
Right. Or have them look it up by your name.

I don’t know how many post I’ve read on this forum about guys being a 1000 miles away from home when they find out their dl, insurance, etc has been suspended or canceled. They’re under a load and stuck at a scale or whatever. Take care of it or call an attorney and have them take care of it.
gentleroger, nredfor88 and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
What if you got the citation intended for Andy? I bet he paid it......only because he knew he had one to pay. So his may be lurking in the shadows with your name on it. Probably not but....
Harry Hickory and Badmon Thank this. -
Go to court before the 13th. Which ever day is the last possible day to appear.
If they don't call your name, no worries. Just make sure you register as being there. -
Might be on to something
-
And get written documentation that you appeared . On time .

If it was personal I would ignore it for sure. But it's not. It's your career.
As much as I would hate to do it I would go to court and get it sorted out.Bean Jr. Thanks this.
