Yes the Cincy terminal was closed last year during the change. I'm looking to return to YRC possibly as my current employer likes to work us till we die and hit our 14 hour and have poor working conditions. Where as YRC was a little more relaxed. I heard from NEMF today but was asleep so I never got to call them back. Waiting on ABF as well.

Are you really considering going back to YRC? -
I too just had a phone interview Friday morning with Holland Freight out of Dayton Ohio. I set up the road test for next Wednesday morning at 6 am. I put in the on line app about 3 weeks ago for OTR Regional, out Monday through Friday off on the weekends. The fella told me that I could join the local Teamsters after my 30 day probationary period. He also told me that being the new guy and with all the older hands with seniority bidding on the loads I would probably not get to work a straight 5 days a week. I work 5 or 6 now and would hate to take a big cut in weekly earnings just to be able to say I'm a Teamster driver. Does any one know about how long you would have to put in as part time in the OTR Regional Division before you are working 5 days a week ? I've never been bothered about where I have to deliver to ... I have no preference on that ... what I'm kinda shaking my head about is their hiring process ... He told me first he looks at the apps and makes the calls to the applicants ... after the phone interview, if you seem like a viable candidate he then passes you along for a road test ... if that goes okay, then they set you up with not 1 but 2 physicals and a drug test during that time ... after all that, if your still in the mix, then they do the background checks ??? I said, what ? Why would you do all the above without doing the background checks first ? He said that it wasn't his department, he just does the phone interviews ... I told him I had some trouble with the law back 30 years ago that resulted in a felony and I wanted to tell them upfront so it didn't waste their time or mine ... again he said it wasn't his department but it seems that with it being that long ago it shouldn't really matter ... seems like a backwards situation to me ... you would think they would check out your MVR and background checks and verifications first and THEN have you road test and drug test/ physical ... are Teamster outfits just looking to burn through money? I am always honest about the past blemishes with employers so we don't have issues later on in the process ... I wonder if Holland is just at a peak time and just hurting for drivers?

I understand, i have freinds at UPSF and they dont go home after 12hrs. either. They are still out while i'm already home -
Our guys do from 8-12 everyday. I would love your hours. Although a hour or two of overtime every day wouldn't bother me
