Was delivering to a receiver in south eastern PA a couple months ago & spoke with a former Roadway pu/del driver that got absorbed into the YRC corp.
He said ever since Yellow bought Roadway & formed the YRC conglomerate, the benifits & pay raises have been continually cut back to pay off Yellows' debt. He stays because of seniority but isn't hopeful as to the future

It's spotty. ups can benefit from it. with all the good idea fairies and molding the drivers. it will work out - trying not to be sarcastic. right now the stations are spreaded out and many not online. in the end of this new change, ups initial investment will pay off really quick.

-Sincerely not a tree hugger and former employee

Yes your correct, but at the same time they still have it good compared to most companies. Go work for CWF for a day or better yet Central transport. Those are horror stories right there

I would still rather take Old Dominion over any of the rest. Why would you want to go work for a company that is on the verge of closing it's doors any day.

And now we have 6 CNG trucks where I work and they suck. They have a long way to go before they are the "future" of the trucking industry.

I've heard a lot of good things about ODFL, all the guys I've spoken too are all happy. I would've went but the thing that drove me away was the no overtime till after 60 hours. My friend worked there for 13 years and that was his only complaint

also yes YRC could shut it's doors down but that's EVERY company out there, you just never know what could happen. One day you think it's all good and the next your jobs gone.

Connect me to your friend if he's on FB. I've got a ton of questions, All though OD TM was super great and I was vetted, Still don't have communication direct link with a OD driver. Hook me up creepy brother. That was my personal crap with OD, no OT after X time.

    I'll pay it forward.

Didn't have him on Facebook. I worked with him at CRT while working for UPSF
