Was delivering to a receiver in south eastern PA a couple months ago & spoke with a former Roadway pu/del driver that got absorbed into the YRC corp.
He said ever since Yellow bought Roadway & formed the YRC conglomerate, the benifits & pay raises have been continually cut back to pay off Yellows' debt. He stays because of seniority but isn't hopeful as to the future

Moon_beam Thanks this. -
HalpinUout and Shaggy Thank this.

I would still rather take Old Dominion over any of the rest. Why would you want to go work for a company that is on the verge of closing it's doors any day.
jimbobillybob Thanks this. -
And now we have 6 CNG trucks where I work and they suck. They have a long way to go before they are the "future" of the trucking industry.

also yes YRC could shut it's doors down but that's EVERY company out there, you just never know what could happen. One day you think it's all good and the next your jobs gone. -
I'll pay it forward. -
Didn't have him on Facebook. I worked with him at CRT while working for UPSF
