I think it will depend on the terminal. Well, as far as unloading, my buddy was required to work on the docks too. They would want him there on Saturdays to do just that. But again, I am sure it will depend on the terminal.

Dock work is required of road (linehaul) drivers at many companies, but I'm not sure how YRC handles that. My company has dedicated dock workers, so we don't have to do dock work except on rare occasions at dark (closed) terminals.
As far as keeping track of miles and hooks and such, I fill out a trip sheet every night and get a carbon copy that I later compare with my paystub. No worries about keeping a special journal. Again, I'm not sure how YRC road drivers keep track of all that, but writing it all down separately might be unnecessary.zigstar Thanks this. -

R&L Carriers requires you to purchase your own pallet jack but when I was doing p&d work for YRC the company provided the pallet jack

I was thinking the same thing. I've only ever heard of R&L forcing P&D drivers to supply or buy their own pallet jack.
