I know right? How insane of me to try and get a piece of paper that will help me get another job after I got fired so I can try and continue to fulfill my financial obligationsKillingTime and Bean Jr. Thank this.
-
I'm paying them I'm on their payment plan with swift
Never said I wasn't paying them. I signed a contract agreeing to pay them if I left before my year. Fair enough to me. But what's pissing me off is that they won't give me my certificate until it's compleatly paid that is ######## -
You mean it's like the same as say tryin to get rhe title to your vehicle before its paid off?
Or ordering something on layaway and trying to receive it before it's paid off?
Yeah man. I feel for ya.Eldiablo Thanks this. -
So basicly let's say I go to collage on a student loan. I complete all 4 years and get a bachelor degree in ########.
But the catch is I don't get my degree until every last penny of that loan is paid off. If you were in that scenario you would be screamin from a mountain about the ########.
And when I need this #### thing to get a job, it's pretty ########.
It's not the same as layaway or paying off a car. It's a school. The certificate just shows I was their and completed the course. I'm making my financial obligations and should have the certificate to prove I was their.KillingTime and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
The college isn't the one loaning you the money though. They've been paid so you get the degree.
It sucks but I can see why they don't give you the cert. before it's paid off.
It's also more than obvious by the date your cdl was issued and the fact you were employed there at that time that you did successfully complete their course.
The companies requiring it are being silly.Boattlebot Thanks this. -
When you get a loan for school the school gets their money from the lender. So they have no problem handing you the diploma.
Eldiablo Thanks this. -
School got paid. Swift paid them I'm paying swift.
In reality this is a classic student loan setup. School gets paid by the lender on behalf of the borrower and then the borrower pays back the lender at a pre agreed amount vs time. Only thing difrent from the typical scenario is the cdl school is 5k (don't rember exact amount and so I rounded up) the lender is swift with the pre agreed amount having no intrest on the principle -
10-4, was thinking Swift was the school.
Anyway, it sucks but it's what it is.
It limits your choices for now but there's still many that won't require it from what I can tell. Those that do must have some good, anal reason.Boattlebot Thanks this.
