I had a lot of questions too. But as I read the company's web site, watched their videos, most of my questions were answered , so no need to bother the recruiter with those questions already answered in their website. Some of them even have a Q/A page. But in overall, I see that guys like Chinatown had already helped you big time. Good luck in your new and upcoming endeavor. May God bless you.

You won't be bothering the recruiter, that is their job to answer your questions.

Recruiters some time don't even give you an answer a schneider recruiter came in my school i started to ask him about different things after a while he told me you make too many questions and i did not ask him no more, the same thing happened with a couple other recruiters

Thanks for all the information, folks.
Well, I wanted to give y'all an update. I HAVE passed school, and I have applied three companies thus far: H.O. Wolding, Roehl, and Swift.
I was looking forward to HOW and Roehl because they pay practical miles, but they both rejected me. I have an accident on my record from 6 years ago. Mind you, both of their policies say it has to be at least 5 years or older, so one would think I would good, but apparently not.
I was thinking about TransAm, but I don't really want my first company to run automatic tractors, because I really don't want to get comfortable with an automatic. It would suck getting used to the automatic, then going to a company with manual transmissions and not knowing how to handle busy traffic. I have scheduled orientation with Swift... I don't like the whole $.25 CPM and Rand-McNally (HHG) miles, but what can you do?
Any suggestions?Chinatown Thanks this. -

I would certainly look for something besides swift. I've never worked for them so have nothing bad to say, however I have talked to one of their recruiters before I came back to otr recently. I am pretty sure they have a no hardwired inverter policy which severely limits your quality of life on the road. Don't jump into bed with the first place that invites you, that is unless you absolutely need to be working today. I didn't see you mention apu's. I would really try to find a fleet that had them. They make getting fuel bonuses much easier.
