zf-as-tronic transmission problem.

check to see if the clutch is working properly. sounds like you have clutch issues or actuator issues.

 

check for the model identification plate that i have just uploaded. this is the gearbox in question

pull the acces cover from the bottom of the trans 4 13mm bolts.

un hook the air line to the clutch actuator, take a small pry bar, pry the clutch fork actuator back toward the rear of the truck.

the clutch fork should now be loose, with your hand and try to move it forward and back. it should move easy by hand.

may have to remove it and lube the pivot on the fork, and reach up and make sure the throw out bearing slides easy on the transmission shaft.

also you may want to replace the the clucth actuator depending on how many miles it has on it.

the actuators do go bad and cause problems like you have described

 

We have a problem with our tga . Graiting in all gears up and down shift . New clutch and clutch servo . New synchros on groupshift and overdrive and also had top actuator sent in for repairs .

 

i managed to sort oue the preliminary problem but now i just hard another problem of pressure not filling but started sippinf from the three holes on the left side of the bell housing when i connect the pipe to the AS Tronic actuator on top of the gearrbox. who can repair the unit please we dont have experts in ZAmbia here?

 

Good day i have a iveco stralis 440 problem is that it keeps on giving a fault code of etc warning 7c and wont engage the gears i found that there was alot of water inside the actuator and cleaned it but no luck does the water damage the actuator or not

 

If there is water in the actuator does it damage the actuator and do i need to buy a new one cause mine wont engage gears and gives a fault code of 7c drained about 200mil water out of it and stil wont select gears

Can anyone help please. I am using MAN TGS truck with ZF 12 speed auto gearbox. The problem is the trucks doesn't change the change the gears properly.It does not skip gear no 6 it increases the revs and does not change to the next gear. We drained the oil it had 10 liters of oil and it was dirty. Can that dirty oil and stuck oil filter be the source of all this?
Please help

 

hello every body ,
i have zf AS tronic mid transmision installed at grove crane the poblem as follow :
- the crane is start ignition when the trans switch at D ( engaged )> ( not normal)
- sometimes trans dosent go neutral , vice versa .
- now i see errors like 101 & 102 ,,,,,,,, sometimes i see 26 & 28 error
note: 26 &28 error not found at fault codes manual for this transmision
