Always been an early to rise bird. Even when I was young I could not train myself to work overnight shift. Its a bioclock thing.
Keep safe, @Dave_in_AZ and the shiny side up. This too shall pass.

The vampire shift creates all kinds of special challenges. My wife always looks at me funny when I get home and crack open a cold one at 6:30 in the morning.

Heh, I had a teacher in JR high/middle school that claimed the best way to start the day was with a shot of whiskey.
I thought he was a quack that probably had a few shots before work. Especially when you would make a statement like that to a room full of early teenager's.
It took a while, but maybe he was right.Bean Jr., 25(2)+2, sealevel and 1 other person Thank this. -

But then again I could be the exception. I'd say the average age of the people at my meet is 50.Woodys, Jazz1 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -

The night driver discrimination continues. Everything at this TA is closed, but there is fresh coffee. Fortunately I came prepared with half a subway. I just want a piece of frigging chicken.

I worked a couple months straight nights, and I won’t do it again. It was during the winter too, so I never saw the sun. 14 hour shifts with an hour commute each way. Wake up, go to work, eat all three meals there, come home, go to bed, wake up and back to work. The two days I’d be off were pointless. Was a total zombie the whole time. Not for me, thanks. I thrive from noon to midnight.
Rugerfan, Jazz1 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
