Did 4 years of 10p to 10a/12p 5 days a week line hauling Tractor Trailer walking floor or straight truck roll off to a landfill. It was easy, Young and no family. Plenty of coffee and get home plenty of liquor. On your own surviving.
These days, Start times vary from 2a to 7a. Still no family and older. Tougher to see at night. 9 million talking heads and PM rush hour sucks
This daywalking crap is over rated, about 5 years now in the day. not much pros to it. Overall working is over rated too

Due to recent posts Daves survival is expected but lasting damage is a possibility
Dan.S, Dave_in_AZ, JReding and 2 others Thank this. -
This is the best time of year for me. I go to work when it's dark, and it's still dark when I get home! Nobody wants to see my ugly mug anyway!
Seriously, I find being a vampire is better for me. Running local, around here daylight driving sucks. Too many clowns on the roads around here. Once midnight hits, they usually disappear, other than the occasional drunk.
One drawback I've found as i get older, I find I need to take Vitamin D. Your body produces it from the sunlight. And I generally don't get much sun during the winter months. And I can tell when I'm low on the Vitamin D without checking anything.Dave_in_AZ and Dan.S Thank this. -
Your sleeping 1/2 the night away ....... lightweight.....
Try starting at 11:30 pm and working 1:30 pm.....but only driving 9 ish.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
#### that,why so hard?and so many years?

when i was cabdriver, waking up 3.30am to find spot near hotels to catch airport fare was my enemy#1.Cold winter nights, cold car... can imagine yall hardgoers feel like alone in the dark. -
Been working 3rds, 3 years now. I love it. Takes sometime to adjust, more than a week. I understand it being difficult doing it.

Zombie Night Shift has ended. I stopped at about 1600 because I felt I was turning into a zombie, and slept for like 45 minutes, and now I can't sleep.

I have never been able to run 12-6 without stopping for a little nap at least.
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
