It's obvious the terminal manager is altering drivers time! No way should anybody have control over your hours, I should've had a couple hours overtime a few times but after I clock out friday but when return to work on Monday my hours are missing NOT once but several times! Shame on AAA COOPER for allowing managers this much control and freedom. They know people are desperate for their jobs so they leave it alone. Pretty sure he gets a bonus by not paying out overtime, sad hardworking truck drivers are being taken advantage of for everybody else's benefit but its mainly the supervisor in Louisville. He has "favorites" so of course they get hours and get paid for them, I couldn't take anymore and left! Good luck to drivers who come here and break your back for close to 10 hrs a day and drive hundreds of miles and never see the pay or benefits of the hard work!

Pros

Good trucks

Cons

Long hours without the overtime

Paid in full, then a wk. later a bill for 're-weighing, class change'. Called-up they said it's actually a 'notification charge.' Talked to supervisor and explained that no one notified me. I called the terminal and when the rain stopped I went down to pick-up my shipment of green coffee beans. A week goes by and I get another bill: I told them I'd be down in the morning and went in the afternoon.' So they tried to get money from that. After having explained and proved my case, they are presently threatening to sue me. I wasn't born yesterday. They had the weight, destination, etc., and for some reason(s) went stupid. This is a kind-of vengeful action by AAA Cooper transport. Unless they issue immediate apologies, I will use alternative freight transferring. While the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at AAA Cooper Transport, beyond that there's an evil and persistent effort to bait and switch customers.

Pros

Dishonest and incompetent

Cons

entirely wrong and mistaken but persisting and doubling down with vengeance

After waiting over 10 minute for help, I needed 5 PRO numbers for pick ups. That does not take long to provide. The rep named Cindy did not care how long i waited for help and would only help me with 3 pick up numbers, then put me back in que for the remainder two PRO numbers. That is ridiculous for me to have to wait another ten minutes just for updates on two more shipments. Poor customer service and assistance. I will try my best not to dispatch them for anymore of my shipments.

3 reasons AAA Cooper is not a good job

3 reasons AAA Cooper is not a good job

1. A camera is mounted in the cab and pointed at the driver. Makes for a long uncomfortable drive every day.

2. insurance plan is unusually terrible. You're pretty much on your own as you contribute to your own healthcare savings account and avoid going to the doctor or getting any procedures done.

3. Company contributes only about $1,300 a year to your retirement account. If you work 30 years you will have only about 39k to retire on. That's less than a years earnings so you end up working until you die.

Good points: Once a year they cook hot dogs for their employees.

AAA Cooper

Q: Hi, anyone have any good or bad info on AAA Cooper in Duncan SC? Thanks in advance

A: have a buddy of mine that works for them in Montgomery Alabama on the P&D side. I am sure not a lot of diff in the two. local trucks high mileage and breaks down and now they are beginning to install cameras in their fleet local and line haul.. He goes in about 8 or 9 in the morning and gets home about 9 at night and week ends off. decent benefits and everyone makes the same according to him. I guess it must be ok he has been there for several years. don't know if this helps any.
