If you are thinking about working for them as a driver or O/O you better read this first. What they dont tell you in orientation is they pay on "adjusted gross revenue". That means they are going to screw you and keep a good chunk of the money. I did a load that paid $5,000 from a broker. The broker gave me the rate con. When i got paid it wasnt off of the $5,000,it was off of $3,190. They kept the rest and then paid me 65% of $3,190 on top of that. I consistently had more hours unused at the end of the week than i used. Its not because im lazy. I told tgem to work me but they never would so i quit saying anything. Then i found out about the adjusted gross revenue scam. Thats when i quit. I have talked to other O/O there and like me most of their pay was between $1,500 and $1,900. If you like to get screwed and not make money this is the place for you.

Pros

If you are lazy this is the perfect company for you. They will give you 2 3/4 days to do a 1,000 mile run.

Cons

There arent any unless you like living below the poverty level.

It's an ok job. But for chemical tanker you should be making more. They have these stupid phone calls once every month. Those are a waste of time.. They want you to watch stupid videos every couple of months . They don't have return loads 8 out of 10 times. Pay goes up and down. It's an average of about 1200 per week. I have saw a few 800 dollar weeks. Their Ers wants you to use Petro or Ta for pms. This results in a lost day on the road. Unless you live by a terminal I don't recommend them. The pay isn't the best. You also lose a lot of time at Tankwashes. A lot of extra time involved. Everyday becomes a 14 hour day because of added work duties. The women in ERS get mad if you try to set up service that makes sense. Your driver manager will add you extra money to do things. Then payroll goes behind everyone's back and doesn't pay. You can't get them to fix compressors and pumps. Their shop tries to send you to the dealership. They don't have any extra trucks if you break down. The customers don't like you. They'll be very disrespectful. I noticed that they're always trying to give O/O grieve on inspections. All dead head miles are free. You're working on a percentage. 0 of 0 is 0 Management tries not to talk to you. The dispatchers are pretty good. But there is a few wiseguys.

Eric in the Columbus Oh terminal is a liar. Dont believe his bullshit that you will gross $5800 a week. He has cheap ### freight that only pays $3 a mile and he expects you to always deadhead back for another load. Nobody can make any money like that.He wont tell you what the rates are when you ask before hiring on because he doesnt want to scare you away. He will tell you what the rates are after you hire on if you ask. He must think you cant or wont quit immediately just because you got hired on. All he cares about is covering his freight. Me and him have went around and around about not making any money. I have only been here 2 months and am already looking for someplace else to work. Im not going to live in poverty to cover his customers freight. I came here to make money and its obvious i cant do that so its time to move on.

Pros

There are none that i see.

Cons

Eric lies about the money you will make. He lies saying he will make sure you make money. He is a snake oil salesman. Ask any owner operators that are there about what i just said. They will tell you. We just had a conference call and alot of guys are tired of it.

Avoid Action Resources!

The pay is very low and very inconsistant. Actually had a negative paycheck. Hometime is very inconsistant. If you do manage to make some money, you wont ever be home. Do yourself a favor, and drive for someone else. I worked for them for a year, and they put me into bankruptcy!!

Action Resources???

I spoke briefly with one of their drivers this past week. Don't have any real details for you other than he seemed happy with the hauls he's getting. He lives near our Tidewater Transit terminal in Decatur, AL, and actually parks his truck on our yard when he's home. I've seen him/his truck there during the week several times, as well as most weekends, so he apparently gets home some during the week at times. Action has a tank wash & they clean a lot of our chemical tankers. Been there several times, & the folks are always friendly & helpful. They seem to keep an ad on indeed.com looking for experienced drivers. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
