I have been with AD Transport Express since November 2023, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. As someone who recently joined the company, I was impressed by their efficient handling of travel arrangements for orientation. When a train issue arose during my initial trip to orientation from Chicago, the company promptly arranged a flight to ensure I could reach my destination without significant delay. One of the standout aspects of working with AD Transport is their commitment to keeping their drivers moving with minimal downtime. About a few mouth.after joining, I faced a personal crisis when my father suffered a heart attack while I was en route to Texas. I immediately contacted my dispatcher, and within half an hour, they had arranged for another driver to take over my load, allowing me to return home quickly. The responsiveness and understanding of the company were profoundly apparent during this tough time. They ensured I stayed on routes close to Chicago, which proved crucial when I needed to rush to be by my father's side shortly before he passed away. Following my father's passing, I had to manage his affairs in Phoenix, Arizona. Despite the complex logistics involved, AD Transport made necessary arrangements enabling me to attend to my family responsibilities and then return to work smoothly. Let me add during this time they gave me a new truck! Even during the preparation for my father’s memorial service, the company ensured I could be home to participate in this essential family event. This level of support and flexibility from an employer is rare and invaluable. Based on my experiences, I would highly recommend AD Transport Express to anyone looking for a compassionate and supportive work environment, especially for those who may need flexibility under challenging circumstances.

Pros

AD keeps you moving and always answers the phone

Cons

See I was an owner operator before this I would like more than $.60 a mile. I want add that the star rating on this is not working right. 5 stars across the board

I would run out of hours, just in time to get home on a weekly basis. I never saw a paycheck less than $1,500. My driver manager kept me busy.

Pros

New equipment, pay, hometime

Cons

Not enough hours to keep running

Great company. Good mileage. Average assignment is around 600 miles but some are over 1000. Average weekly miles around 2600. OTRs normally don't get less than 450. Flexible home time and they will get you home if you give one week notice. Everyone is very nice and most know you by name. Definitely do not get treated as a number. Trucks are very well maintained with PMs every 20K miles. Good policy on breakdowns. Large terminal with plenty of empty trailers. Most assignments are drop & hook. All are no-touch. Great benefits. Medical insurance is reasonably prices and great coverage for doctor visits and prescriptions. There's a Walmart and various food vendors walking distance from the terminal.

Pros

Good miles per assignment. Average 2600 miles per week. Flexible home time. Very nice people from owner, DMs & mechanics. Shop is 24/7. Dispatch is 24/7.

Cons

Driver lounge needs more amenities.

You need permission to do any and everything, even when it comes to what you end up having to pay for out of pocket, like DEF, because their card doesn't authorize that. They run peoplenet, which runs you. Driver facing cameras and everything is counted as an event, and the safety department gets a video of you scratching your cajones. Every appointment is set for your breaks to be at 10 hours exactly and even then you'll be late often. It's basically churn & burn for the drivers while the driver managers work banker's hours. The high turnover is part of the business plan.

Pros

Free showers and laundry

Cons

See review, also the showers might not have hot water and laundry machines might be broken

Q: Read some posts from over a year ago about AD Transport. Was wondering if anyone had input on them more recently. Thinking about jumping ship and signing on with them

A: Yes i'm a driver at AD I recommend this company. Pay is above average and trucks are less then 2 yrs old most newer. I get home every weekend but a handful every year but you can stay out longer if you wish. Any other questions let me know.

master manipulators..i worked for them for a few months, for the first 3months it was good, big truck lot of miles. as soon as you get your medical and dental all that stops. they suck you in then cut your miles and pay in half, youre waiting for a turnaround that never comes. they tell you pay for layover pay, detention pay, driver unload, they dont.if you attempt to get that they treat you like a cancer to be avoided ,to be cut out and controlled.,i hadmy driver mgs tell me he put in for it,i go to a meeting with the operations mgr, safety, they sign off on it,but you never get paid. if you have a flat tire or shredded tire you are required to take it back to the terminal or you will be charged money.if you have a flat tire they dont send out a sevice vehicle, you drive the truck to the nearest repair shop, leaking radiator..same thing. for diesel fuel purchases you have to call in for the lowest price location. i got yelled at by a supervisor because i bought diesel that was 1 cent a gallon more..really--yelling at me and tellingme--it not youre money.. you dont need to pay the bill-- for 1 dollar and 34 cents they disrespect you like that.. this is a company thats loaded with money-apperantly from ripping off truck drivers.they built a 1.4million dollar addition to their bulding and purchased commercial property for trailer parking. the president of the company goes to court and lies to the judge about what it costs for diesel fuel and calls for the statute of limitations on any missing pay that you claim in a lawsuit.,all for a 500 dollar missing wage claim..the cost of one new truck tire. you are nothing but a commodity to him.,theres no human factor.if you want youre missing pay he points out that youre just bitter because youre not better off..well i would be better off ifi got my missing pay..if you get a ticket, you are red flagged and nervous dispatchers are looking for something to get rid of you. just a bad experiance..you can find better.
