It's like you have to be a favorite to get a load,or they run when the favorite guys are on a load already. The first I've ever work for where you don't get a reload until your empty if you get one at all.Dispatch only tells you about a load they think you'll run.Whats the sense in having dispatchers if they not gone tell about all the loads. They call out loads way to late for you to pick up for the next day which makes no sense. If you get a load early it's a problem ,but this is suppose to be a transportation company.

Pros

Pay after loads, some of the workers are great, especially safety, and payroll

Cons

Never know what you doing once you get a load until you call in empty, some dispatchers have horrible attitudes, but they suppose to get paid to find you a load.To many good ol boys and not enough regular folks that just trying to earn a living.Alot of unanswered guestions.Dispatch really needs to do better with there jobs

Pleasant attitude but little to no communication between outbound and inbound dispatchers. If you have your equipment paid for tractor and trailer and Live near Birmingham or either location it’s the perfect job. If not 2 of the 3 mentioned above try the sister Company TSH . This is not the place for rookies, new Owner Operators are people in bad financial states.

Pros

Treated with respect and dignity. Pay after every load. Freight availability outbound plenty of local freight in state. Great safety program with help if needed getting you back on the road.

Cons

A ton of sitting and deadheading without pay if you take a dispatch out of network. Preference to older drivers which is understandably right because they keep the company afloat.

You have the option to pull your trailer, a company trailer. You have as much home time as you want, as it's not forced dispatch. You get paid after each delivery which is nice. They will help you as much as possible, i.e. tires, repairs. Miles are good. Outbound freight is good.

Pros

Good with working with the drivers. Immediate settlements. Many options available to the o/o when leasing on.

Cons

Re-loads are pitiful. Inbound dispatchers don't bother with you until you are unloaded which usually means sitting for a day. They take care of o/o's that have been there a long time which means they get preference over loads and perks.
