Worst experience ever I had due to becoming company driver ( CDL A) position under 1099 tax form. For the first trip, that was from Wisconsin to Denver, CO, (1000 miles) my pay was $263 instead of $550 based on .55 per mile. Before i got hire, they told me .60 per mile, and it is not true. Additionally, home time is another issue. I was told to send home every two weeks, and it didn’t happen. People in that building are actually sounds like taking advantage of new drivers as company drivers. They are not honest or something is wrong definitely. I was not working under W2 tax form. My second paycheck is $374.95 based on 1099 tax form. That is for two loads I did. Plus company’s policy is brutal as I experienced as employee because there are all kinds of fines or penalties. They also take $100 deposits from your each paycheck for ten weeks plus $30 for medical insurance forever. Based on my experience i fully recommend you not to join AmeriFreight trucking company. It’s bad company.

I've been here over two years and thus far this is the best company I've ever worked for or driven for. They are owned by and mostly run by Bulgarian folks. They're really the a pleasure to work with but they don't play BS or put up with BS. The Shop is by far one of the best anywhere and the company overall is honest, hard-working and VERY driver friendly. Zero complaints from me.

Pros

Fast and professional driver support on every level

No laundry room

Don't even know where to begin. But let's start with saying that each and every employee will be the most rude person you'll ever come across. They speak to you like you're nothing and don't understand the concept of having respect. As a company driver, don't expect to call and get ANY help. They seem annoyed and frustrated when you call for anything. They'll send you on the road with a truck that is unsafe and shuts off while you're driving. When you inform them of this issue, they'll disregard what you say and tell you that it's not a major issue and tell you to just disconnect the sensor, when there is clear evidence of a leak. It's been 4 weeks and I still have the same check engine sign and engine shut down warning that I've had since the issue occurred. Any minor or major issues that happen with the truck, you're responsible for paying, once again, even as a company driver. They'll having you sitting at a shipper for over 30 hours waiting. Not making any money and being away from your family. They'll lie to you and tell you that you have a drop time but it'll be for over 12 hours later than it shows on your tablet. You won't know until you arrive for your drop. They'll give you 48 hours to drive only 500 miles. If you expect to not have any issues at all and expect to never go home to see your family, then this company is a great fit for you. But if you're like most people and actually want to see your family at least one weekend a month, then I encourage you to seek employment ANYWHERE else. Plus, the disrespectful and condescending manner of which they speak to you isnt worth the hassle in the first place. Please be safe Drivers.

Russian(foreign) company, not a great company. Terrible dispatchers, no home time, will have you running over your HOS. Just a terrible company all around. No benefits. They take more money from you than you make

Q: I'm wondering is Amerifreight a good company to work for being that I'm a new driver with only one year experience?

A: yes,i know them and one of their "other companies" and yes they moved again btw-typical russian mafia outfit-run the #### out of their equipment treat their drivers like #### and dont always pay you for miles or at all!!!-not to mention they have other names/companies with similar names to long standing/legit companies-hence the lawsuits wish i would of done more homework or knew about these forums before i got screwed by them-p.s. you have to run two logs with them or not make money due to sitting for hours waiting on gas and load ect ect and they dont care what your HOS are or the law-hence more lawsuits-but you have to make the delivery or else-bad news all they way around-this company and ones like it is whats wrong with trucking and gives the good drivers and companies bad names-run away from them no matter what they say

Amerifreight

Amerifreight is not good company to work for. Some loads you have make they will not pay you.

I send to them my B.O.L for the week and after a week they didn't pay me one or two loads. I ask them why they told me I haven't send them. I think they are like CR England.

Q: Anyone have any info on Amerifreight ??

A: Let me give you the deal on Amerifreight. They are one of those foreign owned companies. You'll be paid with a 1099 even if you are a company driver. They expect you to drive well over HOS all the time, and their CSA numbers prove it. The numbers are high just like every other company based in Chicago. Don't expect regular maintenance as that doesn't happen. You will be shorted on pay constantly. Stay away from these companies. You'll know them by the name not being on the door but on the lower part of the sleeper, based in Chicagoland and a completely Volvo fleet. A lot go out of business only to open with a different name because they are either shut down or can't find insurance due to continued safety and HOS violations.

A: The corporate name for this company is AmeriFreight Systems LLC. Not to be confused with AmeriFreight Inc, Logistics and Car Shipping. Legal action is currently underway against AmeriFreight Systems LLC for Trademark infringement using the registered AmeriFreight Trademark name of AmeriFreight Inc. We have had numerous complaints regarding the quality of their service and road behavior. This is contrary to the impeccable corporate image and high BBB rating AmeriFreight Inc. holds.
