I have drove a truck for 24 years, During that time I've had many jobs. Working for Andersen for the last 9 months has been the best career choice I have made. With the good pay, and all the other good benefits and new tractors, good dispatchers and management I plan on retiring from Andersen some day. I can't ever see myself giving up such a great driving position.

Really have no complaints about Andersen.

Current employee. I’ve been here almost six years total. Good place to work for. I work out of a remote location picking up trailers and running routes. We deliver windows and doors to dealers. The work sometimes can be physical but most of the time it’s not too hard. We have equipment to help handle the loads. At my domicile, we don’t do any back hauling. Once we are finished with the route we are done, except driving back to our domicile. Over all I would recommend this job and company.

Pros

Hands off management. As long as you do your job they leave you alone. We are paid by the hour, so if you get held up you are compensated for your time. Cameras in the truck only face forward not towards the driver. They let you decide if the weather is too bad to run. If you decide not too run they will not criticize you at all. You stay in company paid hotels with a per diem for food. You get to keep all hotel points you collect. You are usually home one to three nights per week

Cons

You can be out one to three night a week. Hourly wage could be a little better in some of the domiciles.
