Former Employee

I was recruited over the phone for a company called Midwest Carriers or Midwest Logistics. I accepted a job offer, and the company flew me out to Chicago, IL. I went to a Sleep Inn Hotel that the Recruiter stayed “they” owned. I thought that was strange for the Recruiter Rebecca to make that statement. But the statement is/was relevant to what I discovered the next day during my first visit to the company. The company’s is not Midwest Carriers or Midwest Logistics. The company’s name is Beverly Group LLC, and the Beverly Group LLC is a company seemingly operated by a group of international either eastern or Western Europeans with strong dialects. I would go as far to say these people are Russians operating the front offices and the back office has another distinct dialect seeming to be East Indians or from Southern Asia.
The point in pointing out the collaboration of two or three groups of foreign nationals was a surprise to me. I had not expected to be going to work for international immigrants whom Trump is underhandedly, undermining America’s transportation industries.
I felt trapped there in Chicago. I had no money to turn around and return home.
What I learned immediately is that Beverly Group LLC doesn’t operate the company’s safety department as govern by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Administration. The Beverly Group does not operate the company’s logs and ELD with a standard Hours of Service 11/14/70 and there is no 34 Hours of Service Reset.
