B&Z logistics Inc. made a claim stating that Truck #434 was abandoned by (driver) which is deception on their part. Truck #434 had a oil leak coming from the motor upon inspection of the truck which was diagnose at Love's in Ingalls ,IN 46048 . Love's notified B&Z Logistics Inc. that this was a major oil leak and did a PM on the truck. B& Z logistics Inc. instructed me to keep putting oil in the truck and drive almost 4 hours to their terminal in order to repair the truck with a major oil leak. I noticed the oil pressure was dropping fast within minutes into my trip. Instead of causing a road hazard with a major oil leak I drove the truck into Stoop Freightliner Indianapolis, IN which was 15 minutes from where I was so the truck would be at a safe location. B&Z logistics Inc. first refuse for Stoop Freightliner Indianapolis, IN to look over the truck. Then turnaround and give over the phone consent to Stoop Freightliner Indianapolis, IN to diagnose truck #434 . After, the truck was check in B& Z logistics Inc. on the same day they paid for a rideshare company to me pickup and take me to a three day hotel stay which was paid for by B& Z logistics Inc. After, those three days Stoop Freightliner Indianapolis, IN informed by phone to B& Z logistics Inc. that they needed more time to diagnose the truck. Due to that I then informed B& Z logistics Inc. as a Independent contractor that I will be renting a vehicle to drive to my place of residence which was almost ten hours from the hotel and to give me a call when the truck #434 was repaired . My dispatcher stated that was ok. Every other day I was calling Stoop Freightliner Indianapolis, IN and B& Z logistics Inc. personal which I have phone logs and a large amount of emails to back up these claims to check on the status of the truck . Furthermore, B& Z logistics Inc. personal never informed me that they had a towing company transport truck #434 from Stoop Freightliner Indianapolis, IN to their terminal. I called B& Z logistics Inc. spoke to a employee named John who informed me that the truck #434 was being towed to B& Z logistics Inc. terminal and when the repairs are finish they will let me know. For, B& Z logistics Inc.to mislead me as a driver into thinking I was still an independent contractor was deception on their part not abandoned. If I would have been notified about what B& Z logistics Inc. true intentions were I wouldn't have left all of my belongs in truck #434. Moving forward B& Z logistics Inc. personnel making statements calling the items in truck#434 trash speak volumes about how they value their drivers.
If I would have been notified about me no longer being an independent contractor for B& Z logistics Inc. while I was at Stoop Freightliner Indianapolis, IN or my temporary hotel stay . I would have transported all of my belongs in the rental vehicle at that time. Here it is almost two months later B& Z logistics Inc. personnel refuse to arrange for me to pick up my belongs that was in truck #434. Finally, I have proof of messages and emails I sent to the safety department, management, dispatch team and payroll about these claims. Yes, I did communicate with B& Z logistics Inc. personnel by email due this company instructing me to operate this truck #434 in a unsafety manner for documentation and verification purposes to protect myself.
Cons
Low wages, 3 weeks out , trucks always breaking down, no breakdown pay, personnel has lack of communication, don't leave your items in your truck if it's being repaired. They will claim abandoned on the driver if the truck is in the repair shop.
