Honestly the driving part of the job is easy it when they want you to unload after a long night I don’t like and management is horrible at every spot please stay away not worth it management tries to talk to you. The most disrespectful is way possible and expect you to just deal with it. Honestly, surprised drivers still work for them because it’s not worth it and whoever owns this company need to do some serious reevaluating on how they run their company because this company is going to run itself into the ground honestly management is the reason why I’m quitting soon so keep that in mind before you work for these people

I applied through indeed for shuttle driver position. Get the call get there they tell me there are no open shuttle positions. I can be a city driver. I trained for one day and said no thank you this isn't for me. Hasn't even been a week the exact same job posting is back up at the same location. Straight up bait and switch. At first I thought this may have been a misscommunication with corporate and the terminal manager because central is a big ltl company. After I saw the job post again I was Like nah. It was awkward to quit at the end of one day but that's not what I signed up for and I feel I handled it maturely but it was an awesome waste of my time.

Pros

Wasn't there long enough to know.

Cons

Lying about what the job is before some even steps foot on your property doesn't make a good impression and is huge waste of time on everyone's part.

Where to start. Pay is below standards, even if you get your hazmat you won’t get a raise. Expect your pay checks to be missing hours. I have pictures of my hours of service logs. But they don’t pay you for that. No overtime pay it’s all straight time.

Pros

Home every night that’s about all

Cons

Below pay for the job you do.

Central Transport

Q: Anyone familiar with this company? They have an opening for line haul, dedicated out of Phoenix. Wouldn't mine applying if it's still available when I move there.

A: Phoenix is OK...Tucson OK

Decent equipment, plenty of work..The TM Cole is a complete tool idiot, but if you go linehaul you wont have to deal with him much...Pay is close to all the others here, they have 2 linehaul runs, a quick one which gets you about 4 hours on the dock, and a run to rialto ca, which leaves no room for dock...

Ins sucks, def get your own at united or somewhere..cheaper better

Central Transport equipment?

The only reason they're still in business is because it's Ot after 55. The health insurance is the owners insurance company so you're basically paying him back when you get paid. The equipment is kept until it's no longer usable and they suck!
