gave me a truck that was in major wreck but didn’t tell me. had major air leaks (2 air bags, 1 brake chamber), leaking coolant that mechanics couldn’t locate and just kept handing me more coolant to fill everyday. windshield washer fluid leaked, alignment was majorly off, the brakes were adjusted wrong. recruiter lied said I would be making an avg of $1500 I did $1000-1200 and worked harder than I did at previous company where I averaged $1800. Found out from another driver owners son took over recently and company underwent 2 mass exoduses and ended up with a bunch of people hired related to one another, who I take it don’t really care much about their drivers. Don’t get me wrong, they are really nice people but at end of day you need to pay drivers wha they are worth and not skimp on equipment or maintenance. A dangerous place to work, for your mental state, your pocket book, and your CDL

Pros

nice people

Cons

everything else is bad

This was once one the best companies on the hill. This has for a fact changed. The equipment is all in deep a aging and need attention, Tarps ripped up, full of holes. Straps torn, cut shortened. etc, Ratchets all mostly bent beat up, never oiled or taken care of. A culture of everyone in the office is a supervisor and nobody to supervise the supervisors. Every one who calls you with any questions, is out to find reasons to ditch you. If none or nothing serious enough to fire you , they will manufacture one, Plus manipulate load info, delivery times,etc. Home time they will approve but then say you over stayed now you are late to show a pattern. Best advice, If it smells odd it is odd. Keep all records! all emails, all communications since it is all sent to you now with hardly any in truck devices the company saved a few bucks, but laid ALL the info and proof to the drivers to beat any misinformation with little effort.

Pros

okay work environment. Still some decent lanes in glass, thats all i can speak of .

Cons

Admin will use one trick pony to trick you into taking glass saying you can move up in six months, then boom, in comes all the calls, each time a question comes your six months just turned into 12 . And trust that any promise given will not be kept. get past that you are good

24 hour audio recording of you in your truck. Disrespect for drivers is the norm. Dispatch has a very high turnover rate. Get pulled into every scale because safety rating is terrible. Supervision is incredibly incompetent.

Pros

Once was a respectable company.

Cons

See above.

Combined Transport?

I'm in heavy haul. Started with glass didn't like it. Not because they're a bad company just because you can't make a heavy hauler a glass hauler. They tried, it ticked me off, but they made it right. I made better on glass, but you know driver that glass isn't for everyone. They are different than mav. They load it differently and don't pay to set up racks and won't let you drive with racks up. But I was making 2400-2800 dollars every two weeks after everything. of course that will be different for you because they no longer pay Per diem.but I think they're great. Bennies on day one. No more apus that I know of, but don't worry, most trucks idle and they won't say too much less you leave it running on sometime. They have fridges and inverters. Most do anyway if not you can get one put in at their expense. They took my front seat or a cabinet if you choose to allow for a fridge. Fix the truck how you want. No pet deposit bring your dog and your wife. They want you to go to Canada but they have lanes that don't require it, however, your pay is 2 cpm more if you go and you get75 dollars to cross in. It's harder to haul glass at combined, but its worth it to be here. Not supericromanaged.its a fun environment. Trucks run 65. insurance for u and the wife runs 165 every two weeks, and that's how often we are paid. They will get you home, whether they have to fly u or not. True open door policy, and the glass girls are great. You can make it home driver
I don't know how long you've been out here but you can't beat how they treat you here. My dispatchers know me, and look forward to having me in their area, and I'm an honory SOB. I like perfection and i m as close to it as I can be at combined. Hope this helps.

This company pays and treats owner/ops VERY BAD. They don't pay your 2290 or any things else. They tell you one thing and then you find out they lied you call them on it and they don't even call you back. I now have OOIDA ON THEM for all the invoices for the loads I pulled...WHY.. I have some proof they are double dipping...What does this mean... Means they book loads at one price then they take out a fee and then give it to you and tell you the miles are way under what they really are.. Now don't get me wrong I know company's don't pay the real miles but it wont even be close it will be 100 to 400 miles off. I was paid 83% of load plus 100% of FSC. When I signed up they told me there onwer/ops were making $28,000 a month to $34,000 a month. I drove for them for almost a year and NEVER SEEN more then $20,000 a month tops. No load paid over $1.90 a mile most paid $1.40 to $1.60 a mile. I understand they pay there heavy haulers good{I hear at-least}
