I enjoyed working here. They left you alone as long as you did your due diligence. Got paid extra for having a tanker so that was a plus for me. Home time was excellent. Not once have I not done my reset at home. Would have stayed but I wanted my own truck. Plan on using everything they taught me.

Pros

Home time definitely Good pay Honest people No hidden BS, they tell you everything straight up

Worked for DTS little over a year and half. Went local due to family issues and since they’re a small company they don’t have local opportunities. My time with them was great. Normal trucking issues that happens in every company; kept at shipper or receiver longer than expected. They will get your detention from broker. Home on weekend for resets. Not having to stay out weeks on the road to make good money was hard to find and DTS will offer you miles as many you can handle. No ghost driving, no illegal clocks. Don’t expect them to clean your logs. Over all my time with them was positive and would recommend anyone looking for steady miles and $$. No forced dispatch, good equipment, and flexible work schedule. Never got push back for taking a day off.

Pros

Weekends home. Good equipment. Flexible on days off. Direct deposit.

Cons

No local.

Small trucking company. They got miles if you can handle it, but it is work. Like leaving and being on time, check your equipment and keeping the trailer clean so that it won’t get rejected (they ask for pics for certain loads), pay attention to your HOS, willing to relay loads to other drivers, report issues on time, communicate with dispatch. Mostly run from TX to IA, MN, WI, and IL and back, about 2 round trips a lot of times. They do bring you back every weekend to do your 34 reset or more. Rarely remember not getting my full reset, did end up working of recaps, usually due to loading delays, cancellations, or weather recently. Dispatch does communicate with you frequently, and owners as well. They answer their phone at all kinds of hours. Came from Schneider, it is bit different here, they are mostly hands off and will show you the ropes when you start and if you need anything, they always say call if you don’t know or not sure. Time off also easy to get as long as it is reasonable requested on time. Did had unexpected things come up, they did give me the days off, but one of the brothers, who is one of the owner, took my load up north. But they do work with you as long as you do your part and work with them.

Pros

Miles. Home every weekend, owners and dispatch available at all times.

Cons

Trucks are not governed, but they do ask to keep it at 68mph or below, will call you and remind you, believe that. Fueling at Loves only, but I guess since I am not paying for fuel, guess not a bad con.

BEWARE #STAY AWAY# BEWARE!!!! I've been running for over 10 years and never will you EVER catch me running for a company as GREEDY as these guys. I ran 3400 miles to only receive a check for 1000. Numbers dont lie, but THESE GUYS DO!!!! I left because OTR wasn't for me but I gave it a honest shot. Communication was clear from the jump but once I decided I wanted to run local things went left. One brother got really disrespectful and the other lied to me and stole $1080 out of my last check talking about it was for miscellaneous things like my drug screen, truck cleaning fee(mind you I only drove for 2 weeks), escrow, not putting in a 2 weeks notice, penalty for them having to cancel a load that was never loaded or even checked in because the shipper wasn't available! Honestly, I wasn't mad because I know how the industry can be. I was disappointed because the main brother made things seem cool talking about dont worry about the 2 weeks notice its fine I can use him as a reference just to turn around and screw me for more than half of my last check! That speaks VOLUMES about their character. If you read the ads it says $37.50 hourly up to $56.50 or $65,000 - $130,000 yearly!!! LIES, LIES, LIES!!! I can see you making $65,000 yearly, but on a 1099 with even the cheapest medical plan is not worth running OTR Existing your full clock EVERYDAY LITERALLY!!! I wish I could add images of my check stubs to show the proof and our last conversation but there isn't a option for it. All Drivers and Future Driver's STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!!!!

Pros

Its a job!

Cons

Forced Dispatch, Dishonest People, Be Ready to Exist Your Clock EVERYDAY!!! They play with your Money once you decide to leave.
