I have been working for Dickey Transport for a while now. Being a driver here is not just about moving freight from A to B, but rather it’s about being part of a team that cares about the person behind the wheel. Dickey takes immense pride in their fleet, and as a driver, knowing that you’re operating a well-maintained, top-of-the-line refrigerated unit makes the job so much easier. Their commitment to safety isn't just a slogan; it’s the way they run their business. Even though they’ve been around since 1959 and have grown significantly, they’ve never lost that family-run feel. They know me by name, not just by truck number. Whether I’m talking to dispatch or the maintenance crew in Packwood, I always feel respected and heard. If you’re looking for a company that values hard work, safety, and its drivers, I can’t recommend Dickey Transport enough. Remember, your working in the trucking industry, it is unpredictable & demanding!

I work for Dickey Transport, and would recommend them to other drivers. No company is perfect. This company has however been there for me when I had a kidney stone, finding a driver to take my load off me so I could go home. They also have accommodated every time off request ive made and honored my requested work schedule like clock work. They are a smaller company which means that every loss is extremely crucial. Not to mention they are owned by a family whom care about each other and so when drivers cost them $1,000s or tens of thousands it isnt like some mega corporation that can just swallow it, it truly damages their entire family. But, they are a strong company and have been in business for decades. They have an exceptional shop and take care of me everytime I need something. I have read some of the 1 star reviews and reader, Im talking to you. Yes they are not perfect, but I know the issues you're reading here are acknowledged and improved upon actively within the heart of the company. Dickey truly wants your success and their own success. Not once have I had an issue that was ignored. Remember there are two sides to every story and you just have to be clear about your expectations and come with an attitude of team work and have concern for your company's success. That goes for everywhere you work.

Can't ask for a better trucking company to drive for. I've been here 4 years and looking forward to another 4+ years! Excellent equipment, dispatch, pay, home time.

Pros

Dispatch, pay, equipment, home time, office people. All-around the best.

Cons

Hard to think of a con that you wouldn't deal with occasionally anywhere else.

Do not work for this company. This place does not care about you whatsoever. They advertise there a family company but the only time your ever cared about is if you're in the office with the Dickey last name. They all are big headed thinking they're all the boss, meanwhile they barely know how to do their job. All of the dispatchers don't know what they're doing and are super rude to all of the drivers for no reason. Even if your in desperate need of money do not work here. They'd rather spend there money on brand new trucks that nobody drives. Most of the mechanics don't care and basically ignore you if you have a problem untill you bring it up two or three weeks in a row

Pros

Almost non they are good with giving time off

Cons

Dispatch Mechanics Pay Mileage
