Awful place to work, environment is terrible. Very unprofessional management team and dispatchers. Florida Rock is nothing more than a stepping stone.

Very toxic environment. Pensacola manager is a very disgusting person. Not very good at her job and has no boundaries, has no problem hanging out on personal time with married drivers.

Pros

None, stay away from here.

Cons

Favoritism, pay,management and shop maintenance.

Florida Rock and tank is just a company to get your two year experience. It’s a complete joke. The equipment is barely in working condition. The pay is one of the lowest out there. You have to keep track of your loads in a notebook because they always try to short you on your check. Communication is non existent.

Pros

There is no pros to working there.

Cons

Do not work there.

Not a bad job but managers have no back bone. Managers are more interested in making friends than being a manager. At least in pensacola....

Florida Rock and Tank Lines

They're about your typical run of the mill tank outfit down here. Never worked for them personally but I hear mixed reviews. They advertise 12 hour shifts, you'll most likely start on nights and weekends and move up from there. If you have 26 years your doors should be wide open in the Tampa area, there's a lot of tank companies with terminals in the area in and around the port. In my opinion with your experience level you could find better, but it's a good place to start once you get here and move on from there once you learn the area.
