The best place for owner ops that value home time and money. The have grown a lot so if you are in a new terminal be patient and they will be a giant there. They have 500 owners just in Houston alone and are the dominant player.

Home every day and get paid percentage. Plus I fell this company actually cares about its owner operators. It only has 20% turnover.

Pros

Pay, Home Time, People

Cons

You have to work 2 weeks before you get paid as a owner operator, but the sign on bonus helps during the first two weeks.

I want share my experience with you as a former employee of GWII. This company does not allow you the opportunity to get fully trained and prove yourself. My elderly mother became very Ill one week before I accepted the position. They claim to be a Christian based company, yet I went to my supervisor asking for an additional hour off each day so I could attend my mother’s physical therapy sessions with her. My supervisor wanted me to step down and take another position. I called her back to advise her my wife and my brother would take care of my mother. She then stated she does not think it will work because of my personal issues. What personal issues, my mother is dying. They proclaim to have a company based on Christian core values. How can you treat someone like this who has not even completed their training? I would think twice before accepting a position from this organization knowing what I know now.

Pros

You get to work from home

Cons

No work life balance and they don’t even give you a chance if they find out you have personal issues
