good second chance company if you get fired from somewhere else where it wasn't anything serious regarding safety, not sure about anything else, decent company for someone with 6 months experience looking for better pay. they do a good job at getting me home with zero issues and miles a pretty consistent, dispatch is pretty good, i don't like a good amount of our customers or their locations but nothing major, trucks are maintained pretty well and will be clean when you first get it, the bad: this company is cheap, we can't use certain tolls which in most areas isn't too bad, the worst being indiana, it takes entirely too long because you're going through towns and everyone is driving extremely slow under the speed limit because the cops are constantly busting people for going a little over the speed limit even though majority of that state has wide open roads, trucks are pretty stripped down but does have an APU and inverter, no fridge which is insane considering we're OTR. terminals don't really have anything other than a small lounge room with a tv, no shower at majority of the terminals or laundry, no account with blue beacon so your truck stays dirty unless you want to come out of pocket. hilariously a power wash truck will come by and rinse your truck off if you happen to be at the terminal that day, overall im pretty happy being with this company but my biggest complaint is definitely the toll situation and not having an account to keep my truck clean, pretty positive with everything else

Pros

they don't call you with stupid stuff, decent miles and pay, great hometime they will definitely get you home after doing your days with no issues

Cons

they're too cheap, avoiding tolls and if you don't avoid the restricted tolls it's coming out of your check, trucks are too barebones, no fridge being a huge problem, no blue beacon account and some of our customers are rude, breakdown/ layover pay is low, wont payout unless it's a confirmed 24 hours have passed and wont round off if its 22 hours, you wont get paid for pretty much an entire day and the pay is terrible to begin with, $75!!!!

If you have more than 2 years experience driving stay away from this company!! I wouldn't even recommend them for starting out!! When I first started with this company everything seemed to be picture perfect and fine but then after the first few months I started noticing a lot of problems. When you address the problems with your driver manager they don't like that then they treat you worse and treat you like dirt. I have proof to back up everything I say in this review. Unfortunately because they're a smaller company the company gets stuck going to a lot of garbage customers and those customers burn your clocks up and screw the driver over and the company knows this but yet they do nothing... Then went bad weather comes in the area they don't seem to care all they care about is getting what little Freight they have moved regardless to the safety of the driver... and I'm definitely not okay with that.

Pros

There are no PROS

Cons

Lack of maintenance on the equipment is a good majority of the reason why all of the equipment is breaking down. Everything is least so they want it to break down before they have to pay to fix it and when they do a good majority of the time they want to send you to the dealership of whatever manufacturer truck you have and you know how that goes now you're down for a long time. They do have loaner trucks that they put drivers in but the loaner trucks are worse than the trucks that they assign

J&R SCHUGEL

J.R. Schugel has been around a long time. I've heard they are a good company. Lisa, from Ice Road Truckers, did a meet and greet there a while back, so if it's good enough for Lisa, it's got to be good.

j&r schugel a company full of rookie dispatchers and lies

J&r schugel has nice equipment and this is all, they have a very high driver and dispatch turn over, I worked for them over 2years,the miles were never conscient, when you wanted to get home they would get you home but you r going to sacrifice almost a weeks pay regardless of time at home, their dispatchers r the worst I have ever experienced ever, difficult to get more than a day out dispatch,
