Drivers beware: they will write negative comments on your DAC, purposely because they know the impact of them, even if they're untrue.

Trailers are junk. Always experiencing issues with tractor. Poor communication. The jobs have a lot of down time. The equipment team needs to to more pride in their work.

I honestly don’t know where to start with this company. Theirs great people who work here and your dispatch will be amazing. I love the open door policy, but the work life and personal life has no equal balance. If you work from the Newcastle de terminal , you will work 6 days a week and be home daily. Some days short, most days you will burn your clock for other people mess ups. The money is mid (percentage pay), close to normal making just the same as a dedicated account at mega carrier company. You will haul port containers that are 90% garbage and will waste time finding a yard jokey to transfer your load to another. Maintenance on trucks are poor. They will “assign” you a personal truck but other drivers will drive your truck to the ground causing YOU to drive someone else’s truck. The process will continue until you notice everyone else’s truck is down as well. Too many drivers, not enough trucks. This company have great potential, but if it was up to me I would do OTR with them. They have nice trucks and get paid by the mile. Oh, and no room for growth. What you make when you sign on, is what you make until you leave. I’m not sure why this company is high on ratings when no one is being honest. As a fellow trucker, I believe we all should tell each other the truth to look out for one another. This job is perfect for those who are older and need something to do for time to fly by. If you’re young, only come to get on your feet financially and look elsewhere. Blessings to all.

I don't know why drivers keep saying the equipment is well maintained. The trailers are junk, old and not maintained in the least. Brakes are always locking up and most of them are artifacts. Overall it's a good company because they will run your ### off and you will make good money but I don't understand why everybody keeps saying the equipment is well maintained. They need to start investing in new trailers.

Pros

Good pay, good dispatchers and planners, great home time

Trailers are old

.40cpm on all miles always on Craigslist, no wonder why gross 685.00 net 300.00 been going on since January 2016. Always have to fight with pay roll. If you like fighting for your pay every payday Leonards Express is for you. They use to be a good company today that can't be said.Good Luck if you decide to drive for leonards 1100 mile weeks and always live unloading is for the birds.

I worked for leonards, drove regional 5 days a week. Didnt care to do long haul. i averaged close to 2000 a week not leaving the North east. i was home every friday and didnt leave till monday morning.

There is a reason why some drivers don't get miles, because the more capable drivers take it from them. Trust me, there were problems at leonards, but they always had the miles for me because i did my job and did it well.

i left leonards because i was offered a better job driving local and being able to come home every day. plus better pay. the only thing bad about leonards is the drivers there. bunch of cry babies who want something for nothing.

The drivers have more than ruined this place, with being lazy and crashes and just plain stupidity, they have no one to blame but themselves.

And oh yea, the have a first class payroll office, never once had a problem with them and my pay.

I worked there for 3 years doing there local gig out of scranton and they had there moments where they could piss me off but for most part they were fair to me, sorry you had a bad experience but like that last guy there was always plenty of loads to do. if you had Andy as your dispatcher that could have been your problem as he was a bad apple up there.. I would have stayed longer but moved and they didn't offer local where I moved to.
