Company has great support system for drivers. Manager and Dispatch make it a typical trucking company. Typical to wait on dispatch to have a new load. Many shipping locations are an all day wait and have waited 2 days at a shipper. 2400 miles a week average. Hometime 2 weeks. Step Deck 4 weeks.

Pros

Nice equipment

Cons

No reason not to run 3,000 miles a week or more as shown on company frofile online videos. Typical OTR company where trying to get ahold of a manager can be difficult and has no concern for drivers abroad. Leave it to driver to overlook company mechanics which is exhausting.

Most outstanding experience of my life. I will retire from Long Haul and I'll be sorry to go. No expence is spared on the trucks and there is no micromanagement by the dispatchers. They ask a lot and reward the effort.

Pros

Finest Peterbilt trucks in the country. The harder you work the more you make. Income potential far beyond anyone else. $80,000 my second year here.

Cons

The yard is kind of cramped.

Not a bad company for Flatbed. I never had any trouble getting miles or freight as a company driver. I live in Maine and never had any issues getting home when I requested. They treat you like family. On the downside is t he trucks are set at 65, some of the older equipment could use more upkeep, but they are real good on getting it fixed when you breakdown. They do use Elogs (Peoplenet) and drivecam. All trucks have APU's.

Pros

They know how to treat employees, Most trucks are very well equiped.

Cons

Some of the older equipment can use better upkeep.

I thought I had done enough reshear on this company before i went to them, but i did not get the truth from people there and the internet. I was told i would average 2.09 a mile. In fact most of their loads pay 1.89. Occasionally I will get a load paying more, sometimes 3.00, but they are very short distances. If I were to get an average of 2.09 that would be about .20 a mile more.

I was aware of the 370 a week rental for the trailer, but when i tried to order a new one I kept getting the run around and was never given the exact cost. I only got the total cost.

I have gone back to my previous company and will stay there. They charge 170 a week for the trailer and I have seen on the internet that a lot of other companies charge similar rental charges.

I drove for LHT as a company driver and had no problems there. I would go back in a heartbeat. The only reason I left is due to issues with my child.

They are always hiring because so many are quiting.Idrove for them a little three months ,and enver could get home because I live in south. If you near them you might be ok ,They have even al smith back in truck to find drivers on road and talk why everyone is quitting. As far Im concern Ithink owner is a jerk wants nothing to do with drivers just wants his money!

I am a company driver first off. They utilize a regional non forced dispatch system. You don't like the North East, no problem. Your truck cannot do California, no problem.

Pay is up to 90%. I am not sure of all the expenses they charge the owner operators. Their trailer rental is steep, but a portion of that gets set aside if you want to buy the trailer.

As a company driver, I have already grossed $206,000 to the truck after 9 months. Averaging $2.19 a mile gross. They show you what the load pays in the dispatch and those numbers are what I have been tracking.

It's bs company. I'm independent o/o took 2 loads with them and both times "short haul" screw me big time! Then I had to wait for my $ for about 1.5 month. I'm not sure about how they treat their company drivers but if u r o/o and wanna haul for em it's not a good idea. Brokers (dispatchers) r nasty and lie to u all the time! I'll never deal with this crappy company again and recommend u to stay away from them. Don't be a kid and don't trust their nice looking colorful conestogas, it's just your first impression about this company. Don't trust that deceptive rainbow picture. Good luck!

P.S. Better find some small local flatbed company, just my opinion.
