Drivers Be Very careful before joking this treacherous company, because they promise the stars but only deliver the trash. Not only do they spy on you inside your truck and listen to all of your conversations but they also reprimand you with a 5 star system. You have a mandatory route to take and you cannot divert from it or your pay gets docked. Actually they dock for Everything. You MUST go to only their predetermined gas stations. All trucks have 65 mile an hour governors. They constantly switch your route and don’t give you the home time you deserve. I drove from El Paso to Dallas and supposed to go to Denver and I was rerouted 3 times, never got home time and the coordination of the loads is very unpredictable and frustrating. I’m a very good driver, over 10 years and I decided to try MVT after a recruiter reached out. I took their work but they don’t keep it. So other drivers be very wary of joining this company and get it in writing with how routes will be dispatched. At this point my wife is going to divorce me because I am never home since working here. It’s a drag working for this company. At the end of they day, we are just another number. After reading all the reviews on Google the only good review was a lady who got her wallet back. The only positive was that I got a 2025 truck, I don’t hv to pay for gas and the air conditioning is nice. Other than that, this is the worst experience I have ever had in my ten years of driving.

Pros

New trucks, nice air conditioning but that’s it.

Cons

Super High Turnover, don’t trust route you are told you are going to get. Dispatchers are very bad. Too much competition for good routes. Incompetent communication. Orientation a joke.

Listen to what people are saying about this company. I should have listened to them. READ the reviews. Everything they say on here is very true. Take pics of your logs daily. Your logs may get edited and your hours disappear. This is a Mexican company.

Do not work for this company. You will regret it after you get your first pay check. It is zip code to zip code pay for drivers. You will be luck to make $1,000 a week.

mesilla valley not a good choice

mesilla valley not a good choice

Been at MVT since 2009. First as a company driver, now as an owner operator. (I bought the first company truck they gave me... It had 7 miles on it when I got it! 940k now!) They have always kept me rolling. Do they "suggest" you run harder by turning yourself on 10hrs or getting creative with your logging? Of course. That's their job. But, YOU are driving the truck. YOU decide when to start driving or not. Just because a voice on the end of a phone, or a message in the PeopleNet tells you to get moving, doesn't mean YOU HAVE to! Man up and just say "NO"! Once they clue in on the professional way you operate, they change their attitude and start working WITH you! They have no choice!

mesilla valley any good?

They'll keep you out for weeks at a time and will bug you to roll out the instant your 34 hour reset ends, even if that's at 2am.

I've talked to several of their drivers who asked me about working for us and they told me about that.

Mesilla Valley.....
I was quoted 165 for a line haul from tucson to blythe...central transport was paying me 200 for the same run...so, less than central transport
I called the number to complain about the bs ads, the one female that answers always says "have a nice day" then hangs up...Same result when emailing her...

Supposedly you win a harley if you have the best mpg in a year...LOL
So the guy doing 46 mph will win it, but the money he lost driving so slow could have bought 2 harleys!!

Their trucks are mostly pos and they don't get but like 8 mpg at speed which is 65 not 70 they say 70 but governed at 65 they don't hold to their word and not enough miles a week messilla valley transport is the worst company I have ever drive for and that list includes ptl but mvt is way worse
