This company along with RT is a sham. I was a company driver and made to pay an escrow. Started at .62cpm and not even a month later got told via email that load rates were declining and I was gonna be receiving a pay cut. Started with MGL and ran there for almost 3mo. then forced to switch over to RT. Ran for RT for less than a month and got fined. They're still refusing to return the escrow funds. I still have the pictures and paperwork from the 3 trucks I operated. These companies are a total scam. Company drivers should never pay an escrow. You only pay an escrow if you're L/P

Cons

MGL/RT are a scam and refuse to payback the escrows that they make their company drivers pay.

Cons

Unpaid orientation Charged for hotel during orientation if you leave before 90 days Constantly getting $1500 removed from your weekly checks with out letting you know it will happen You pay for everything that goes wrong with the truck even wear and tear from deliveries They will not give you copies of your orientation paperwork they won't give you a copy of receipts for so called damages or deductions from your being forced to pay. Things a driver should know before they apply for a job with MGL aka, MG logistics aka RT Transport aka Raytchev transportation. 1. $1500 escrow. They take $100 out of your check every week until they reach $1500. 2. They take $145 out your check every month for occupational accident insurance. 3. If you hit a deer, they take $500 out of your check. 4. If you have an accident they take $1500 out of your check. 5. They don't offer health insurance at all. 6. Slip seating. They have more drivers than trucks. You will sit 2 to 3 days without pay waiting for a truck. 7. If you leave the company within 90 days they take out of your check the money they paid for your hotel stay during orientation. The 5 star reviews are suspect. These are your red flags driver. Do what you want.

Pros

If you know how to run on ELD and paper logs you can drive forever or until DOT catches you whichever comes first.

I work for them a couple years ago. They’re either Eastern European or Russians who dispatch and manage. And many of the drivers there are forced to work for them or they send them home because their work visa requires a sponsor. I had flu and was very sick of working way over my hours of service. They actually fired me when I refused to work past my hours of service and had me thrown out of the truck Thank God I had an old friend that lived in the nearby city and Aaron and she came and got my stuff out of the parking lot at the truckstop as well as me. It’s not a good place to work and if you ask your former drivers they’ll tell you it was an absolute nightmare

Pros

I don’t remember any pros. I was way over my hours of service driving 14 hours a day, working 3, pay $1,400/wk

Cons

If you cross them they will have you thrown out of the truck right then and there.

It’s true about MGL. They work you way past four hours of service and if you tell them you’re afraid you’ll get in trouble they will punish you. It’s run by eastern Europeans many of which are Russians and many of their drivers have visas that are dependent upon them working for MGL. If they get fired they have to go back to Russia or wherever they started from… so they will work like their life depended on it because it does.

Pros

Pay is ok

Cons

You could lose your CDL working for them Because you were forced to run over HOS
