Equipment was ok if you can deal with 64 mile per hour max truck
Forced dispatch and must drop off truck at a nearest company terminal if you would like to go home
Pros
If your an experienced driver non if your new at driving seems ok to learn for a little bit
Cons
Where do I start everything is pretty much a con

Ive been here 2 years now and I hate this place, but ive hated every driving job ive ever had so that dosnt mean much. What does mean something though is that I hate it here less than ive hated it anywhere else ive been and half of my career was local and teamster.
People's experiences here seem to vary alot based on your home terminal, dispatcher, and your own work ethic. Ive met guys rolling in bank and running hard, guys semi retired with cake routes, guys complaining they make $200 or less a day. And guys complaining they are out for 2.5 weeks at a time.
Theres alot of variance and I dont know exactly which drives the various details. Personally I bring home more here than I have at all bit 1 previous employer. Im typically home every week and of the very few i wasn't, most of them were because I didnt want to or didnt really feel like it ( yeah im weird n sometimes I hide in my truck to get to relax lol). My dispatcher is awesome, they seem to be very skilled at finding me higher value freight and whenever I bump into any issue at all they are often more proactive than even I am in solving it. The flipside however is that im often doing harder loads and putting in more effort than alot of other drivers ive met.
As for equipment, you'll get handed a late model truck but its bare bones spec. The trailers are often used and abused, whenever I grab a new one its not is there something wrong, but instead is what is wrong. Its usually minor and you can do a quick fix n keep it moving while billing the company for used parts n bits, if its something bigger ive never been asked to just roll it. They have no problem letting a load get delayed if it protects them from csa violations and that says alot, just wish more of my peers also cared.
They also supply new hires with a thorough but basic set of safety and securment equipment. For me it was always hard asking for worn out items to get replaced, was often met with its not available. Found out the trick was to go get it yourself, and they have no problem at all reimbirsing you for it.
The company also has safety managers spot checking drivers at some of their more valued customers. Ive never seen anyone actually written up or punished from this, its typically just them pointing out something basic you should have alresdy handled. However instead of cooking you they just guide you so its cool but annoying that its even necessary, and yes when ive seen them do this it was necessary and guys were lucky I wasn't the boss.
Overall its a mega and it feels like a mega, the pay is decent but not at the rate you'd wanna brag, the equipment kinda sucks but you wont be pressured to run illegal, hometime is again not great but acceptable and can be more or less depending on your specific scenario. Pgt is by far no land of milk and honey but its aight, especially for a newer driver, he'll im not planning to quit yet.
Pros
They have a high focus on safety
Cons
Alot of mega carrier bs

PGT is a company that makes up the rules as they go. They look for anyway to get over on their drivers. The equipment sucks. And most of the trailers are old.
Pros
None that I can think of. Beware of this company
Cons
There is a bunch of cons. Mostly employed by them

It is what you make of it. I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews and for the most part I can say that it’s trucking, you have your good and your bad but PGT so far as you have to do me dirty.
I personally don’t think they ask to much. Just be safe and do your job paychecks are always on time and so far fair r.
Pros
Consistent freight, communication, response times
Cons
They just don’t let me stay home and send me a check because I’m pretty
