Safty department calls you dayly about the truck beeping when you cross a crack in the road or a skid mark. They "claim" to be about safty but demand that they can call you at all times even while rolling down the road and say that youre a bad driver with bad communication if you dont answer. Its anti-safe if you ask me.

Stay away from RTI account:Target DC3868 in Hampton, Ga DM/dispatchers are disrespectful and have no clue about trucking. I was promised weekly home time so I took .60 cpm to be home for my animals and elderly mother. I now pretty much sit and read. Go on long walks in Hampton as I have very little work here and no home time. I am being held hostage in Hampton, Ga. If you Stop for rest (which I have not, but others have when they are tired) on a load, or get coffee or use the restroom (like humans do) you will be questioned or belittled daily. Text or call, why are you stopping? Crazy they don’t think of use as human. Heard the same issues from other drivers here about treatment and behavior of these two dispatchers. Non of us drivers here are able to shower. You will be questioned and punished by getting no work. Drivers are not human here to Niece or Keisha (dispatchers). They have no clue how to relate/manage people. We literally can’t stop for a pee, fueling or our 30 minute required break without backlash. You ask about pay, there is none since I came over here to Target/Hampton literally a couple hundred bucks on last paycheck, about a hundred dollars for the week before that and so it goes….guess I will forgo medicine this month. Tried to go back over the road about a month ago as I was doing very well with Clint (DM) out of Ky. Just wanted to be home more and I am currently in a living nightmare. No one seems to care or monitor the dispatchers behavior. I personally know we have RTI drivers here that can’t afford to eat or drive home to their family in the same city as they are broke. This situation is unacceptable but it will not be addressed? New drivers every month will replace the ones who leave is part of the “truckers Bible”… drivers are all expendable. Stay away from Target Hampton, Ga. Dispatchers do not care or respect drivers. Speak up, or ask to leave and go back to OTR and you will be verbally degraded and side lined(no work). Quick note: before I asked to go back over the road I received frequent calls from Samantha, Keisha and Niece about how great I was doing, how I was their best driver…lol funny! You are only good until you are not…lol I love driving big trucks and I don’t have to at my age, it gets in your blood. You feel free, almost part of the landscape of the country out there… America is a beautiful place. I still talk to young guys about getting into the driving business every chance I get, I love it! I like RTI but a chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link. I like most folks will not be talked down to by folks that are wet behind the ears when it comes to truckers. I never lost a driver in 10 yrs of dispatching. Respect, listen and help goes a long way when you are out in the great yonder all alone worried about home. I never lost one! That’s driver retention…. Good bye ‘ol girl, it’s been a beautiful ride. RTI/Target got me headed to the barn across the pasture one last time…

Pros

I have been driving for about 15yrs so I’ve learned to take the good with the bad. I knew Cint was a good DM, I just didn’t realize how good until I made a deal with the devil(or target dm’s). I also dispatched for 10hrs before driving. Never lost one guy because I knew my roll. Respect, listen, help. Drivers are people with families and problems like the rest of us. They do a hard job. Treat them accordingly. Truck has been good

Cons

Last maintenance guy stated I needed tires but it could wait until next pm. Next day first flat occurred and so on until now they are replaced.

Well, I started 08/15/2024 and have made several short runs, and I've been laid over several days and/or hours, and have yet to see any Layover or Detention Pay. I complain to my DM and got told that maybe this isn't the right Company to drive for. I have a brother in a Nursing Home who is not doing all that great, and I specifically told my Recruiter that I wanted to stay close to Kansas for my brother. My DM told me that they would work with me, but she and Zack personally sent me to the West, ignoring my request. I've been laid over up here in Aurora, Colorado for 3 days trying to find the correct road into Shamrock Foods with no help from Dispatch. I'm thinking my DM is right. Maybe I don't belong here. I've had nothing but mechanical issues with 72051 and no way to get to a decent Shop to check it out.

They had good trucks I did target loads so I was home almost every day dispatch was probably the worst I've ever dealt with couldn't believe anything they said about half the people in the management were OK to deal with

Pros

Cons

Charged me with truck abandonment I left the truck in same parking lot I got it don't know how that is abandonment

Riverside transport List themselves as 3.5 stars on their applications… I Find that rating to be unlikely. Here many people give it a one and I feel they’re lucky to get one Drivers have to count their miles because they get shorted with their pay It’s low paying and often drivers don’t have the miles and they don’t go home

Pros

Convenient

Cons

OK Low pay. Watch your miles. Dispatcher not courteous there is a reason the turnover in this business is more than 100% and come is like Crete brag because their CEO says it’s only 50% there. Just think they have to replace their drivers

Riverside transport inc miles?

I'll save your soul on this one, Look somewheres else. I thought 6 months at walmart was the worst job I ever had until I did 12 weeks at rti. No miles, crappy trucks that are double leased and more. You can only fuel at PFJ and a I'm still trying to figure out how an annual inspection on a trailer never expires, so says the big chested safety lady!

You can send me a PM for the rest of the story!

Riverside Transport Lease Purchase?

I just quit RTI day before yesterday. They tell you that if they don't have the truck you want, that you get 10weeks payment free, but if they have the truck you want, you get a $2, 000 sign on bonus. Don't botherasking for a Kenworth, no one ever gives them up because they're good trucks! I was given a 2012 Peterbilt 587 and got "10 weeks free". Well, mydispatcher sent me a text message on Tuesday morning stating that I would be swapping trucks once I got back in Owensboro. They were going to put mein a 2015 ProStar which was fine because it had a cummins and not a max force! BUT, they wanted me to start making payments on the truck immediately! Ihad only been there a month and I still had 6 weeks left on my "10 free"! Just a week earlier I told Mike, who is the ops manager for Owensboro that I wasn't getting enough miles to make a decent paycheck(over $500.00) and I was given 2 loads back to back that were 733 miles each. Then it went right back to 112, 212 and 333 mile loads! 95% of their loads come from and go to Ragu which is literally right across the street from their terminal in Owensboro! Mike told mehimself they didn't have very much freight! I told Mike I couldn't afford to make their truck payment of$553.00 a week when I was only bringing home$500.00 a week!! My third check, was for $2, 663.00out of that check I only got $514.00! They deduct so much, you're pretty much paying to work for them! Inever signed a lease thank goodness, or I would havebeen screwed!! My suggestion, STAY AWAY FROMRTI!

Riverside Transport Lease Purchase?

i quit them about a month after i started. Now they do have a good lease but what they dont tell u is they only have 1 customer which is ragu and most of there loads are only 150 miles out every now and again you might get lucky and get a 500 mile load but the thing is everyl load i got after driving the 150 mile load i was waiting at least 20 to 30 hours before they would find another 150 or 250 mile load. Needless to say your gonna be owing them money. Do not go there. 1500 miles a week and they think there doing there job and getting you miles

Anyone have info on RTI (Riverside Transport Inc.) Lease purchase???

I worked for RTI, run as fast as you can! worst 12 weeks of my life. 12 weeks and only 29k miles. had nothing with but problems with my dm. poor communication. pay never right. took for ever to get my safety bonus for a level 1. don't fall for the all inclusive full service maintenance. your paying into a pool on a deal that is already included in the lease for where ever the got the truck. Plus, it is not a walk away lease!!!!! Left and went to JCT. Whole lot happier and I'm not in the poor house either
