Like any company out there ...your experience depends on you. I've worked here 1 1/2 years and have enjoyed the family atmosphere and safety program as well. As the 2017 driver of the year I can honestly say i am happy where I am. Spoerl is changing everyday for the better and striving hard to become better everyday. Home time has never been a issue. I was even able to take 2 weeks off with no hassle for the birth of a grandchild. Their owner operator program is beyond amazing. The spoerl shop is on site and mechanics ready to work for you. Recommend this company often.

Pros

Family atmosphere. Skilled shop. Hard working dispatch. Involved knowledgeable owner.

Former Employee - Sep 6, 2017

My ex work there for almost 2 years he would bring paychecks home that we're truly embarrassing. That's one of the reasons he quit. He made less than minimum wage and would bring home pay checks for an entire week between $300 and $500 for 11 hour days. Their excuses ran the gamut and we're a dime a dozen. Never a shortage of excuses with them. It's surprising they can even stay in business with all the excuses they have. Yet they always claim to be losing money on their end. I would strongly recommend staying clear running not walking away from that company. He stuck it out for as long as he could and gave them the benefit of the doubt even though a lot of the employees told him of the horror stories he had heard from them in the past. He was told he could make up to $70,000 on average when he started and yet he made less than half of that for his best year of the two he worked there. He has now been at a company for 7 years and is really sorry for the time he wasted there they are a company to definitely avoid at all costs. He always felt as though they were not being honest with him and in the end he was right.

Pros

They pay for gas everything else they nickel-and-dimed you I have no pros looking back now that I see what actual good companies are and how they run was a complete waste of time and money.

Cons

Too many to list they were bad in all aspects I'm really surprised they're still in business as I see.
