Steel Transport Inc in Gary, IN has a good family owned business feel but consistent lanes. The company has been around for a long time and is well known if you are a traditional steel hauler.
Pros
Flexible schedules. Good pay. Nice people. Never held money. If there is money issues they can help out and fix. They fight for us as drivers. No forced dispatch even for company drivers.
Cons
None. I've driven here for 26 years and if you care about your profession they will make sure to keep you happy and do right by you.
