The owner doesn’t care about his drivers. He doesn’t listen to them. Expects them to drive overweight. They don’t keep the trucks maintained nor the trailers. And 2 of the dispatchers are awful. They don’t care about the drivers either. They lie constantly. And the pay is a joke. They pay pc miles not hub miles. They tell you in their packet their pay is one thing but you don’t get that. Sure you get a mileage bonus check if you meet the mileage they have set and that’s how they say you get the amount that’s in the packet. And the insurance is awful as well. No home time. If you have issues there’s no one to talk to or complain too about it. And even if there was they wouldn’t listen or do anything about it. And if you make them mad they hold that against you and screw up your loads and backhauls. There’s so much that’s wrong with this company I could write a book. Don’t come work for this company.

When I started I was told I could leave when I got ready too, as long as I was on time at my drop. But backhaul dispatch is awful. They wait until the last possible minute to get your backhaul and then they tell you NOT to call the shipper and confirm pick up appointment. Which is a lie cause the shippers I pick up from have signs and even says it on their voicemail that drivers have to contact them to confirm. Then one outbound dispatch is awful as well and they are both very vindictive and rude. Owner treats drivers like they are stupid. Doesn’t listen to drivers but really loves to hear himself talk. And the pay is not good. Website says they pay up to .68 a cents an and I was there for a few years and was still at the lowest pay. And they pay computer miles not hub miles. They lie to drivers about loads and other things all the time. Supposed to be no forced dispatch but that’s a lie as well.

If you want to drive equipment that has Bald tires bad steer tires that blow out and get sent to pickup tractors that a driver was busted for drugs and not be told until you're back at the yard. Have your paperwork you get paid by stolen Be treated like dirt. Pickup trailer with hazmat on them and Storey dosen't have a hazmat and told to run it anyway. Go to Butte Montana, Washington State Then Storey Trucking for you. Let not forget get accused of thing you don't do.

Storey is a company that genuinely cares about each and every driver. You are not a number here. You are assigned a truck number, but you are more than just a number. Everyone from the office staff to the shop will do everything they can to make sure you are taken care of. Plenty of miles for you to run and nothing goes into the North East. If you do have an issue, they will make it right. If you are a team or solo looking for a company that will let you be a professional driver and provide you with great equipment and all the miles you can run, then look no further! No micromanaging from the dispatch team or 40 check-in calls throughout the day. They get you assigned to the load and then let you do your job! If you need them for anything, they are a call or text away though. Great hometime if that is what you are looking for or plenty of miles if that's what you are in search of. As long as you can communicate your expectations, you will be successful at Storey!
Pros
Very experienced dispatch team. Great owners. Great staff.
Cons

Run Wednesday to Sunday on dedicated run at roughly 3090 miles a week. Little low on cents per mile but you get the miles so I really make more than I did at 6 cents more per mile and new mileage bonus every month makes you smile when you get that extra fat check once a month. Been here almost two years. Started as team but little brother went chasing his dream hauling rock stars and as a solo driver I do well and spend 2 to 2 and 1/2 days a week at home. Insurance is a little high for family but if everything was perfect it wouldn't be life. Love it here and in my 15 + years been one of my favorite jobs. If you want to run west then you need to check them out especially if your a team!
Pros
Lots of miles, boss man knows your name and will shake your hand.
Cons
High insurance, no vacation pay
