Home time decent. Not something I’ll do the rest of my life. Very physical demanding. Gone maybe 2 days at a time. Really just depends on the route you have. If your a relief driver it’s really hard to plan thing with family

If you're going to work out there you're gonna be working out of Harrisburg just be careful to watch your check they will get you I worked a whole week and only got paid a $149.00 because they couldn't find who I called in on, on my on call day either way they do not play fair but Matt is a good guy bet he leaving. I don't even see why it's my responsibility to remind people in the office to call me if they need me when I'm on call anyway seems like too me that's dispatch responsibility not a driver, my job is just to drive not to do logistics.

Supervisors as you to falsify your logs so you can run more. So forget about home time. Trucks are the worst they give the best ones to high seniority, you break down. They have no one to come rescue you rather your 20 mind away or a hour away they will make you sit in a truck that has no heating or cooling because it's broken down. 20 mind away and told me to get a hotel. Look up why drivers were going on strike.

Pros

Cons

Bring forced on routes you didn't pick because "they have enough morning drivers"

Management plays favoritism. It's a failing company, no one wants to work for them can't get anyone to even put in an application. Do you think they care? Absolutely NOT.. you pick extra board only to never get any work cuz volunteers will Trump you in seniority. Basically if your not in the top you will get rock bottom.

Pros

Cons

All supervisors don't care, HR is rude they all play favoritism. You get your way to the top for switching and well.. you know the rest. Doesn't matter how good money us if your not treated with respect why would you stay? They can't hire anyone not a single application in in months. No one wants to work for a company who hires ### offenders, and no experience supervisors.

Last time I worked for SYGMA (Sysco food distribution's national restaurant division) was a decade ago, but I saw a lot since then, enough to know it was a good company that did not cheat employees. I went back to school/graditated kollege.

Pros

Great retirement, pension, stock. Salary. Health program. I had a 3.5 day weekend, making over 50k (10 years ago), plus benefits. Average was a 2 night weekend, 2-3 nites home. Could do extra local/regional run to get a load of burgers for the warehouse, etc, ~$38/hr. Guys clearing 80k .

Cons

You go out even if governor's warning on road conditions, you can stop and wait and get overtime, but it's not that simple. You will be in shape, lazy don't cut it. You go out late afternoon or evening (but home several nights a week, too). I really can't say cons... IDK, moving a truck load a shift on a hand-cart ain't for everyone, but you will work with guys who can hack it, so it weeds out the riff-raff pretty quick. Good luck.
