Evil company. They send you over to their Spokane office without pay only to fire you for things that does not even make sense and not within your control despite you passing everything , and doing everything right, and they will send you back on bus . It happens to 5 people each time. They send 15 people there on training and then just give them a bus ticket on the way back home for 40 hours of travel.

Pros

Nothing as they will waste your time without getting paid

Cons

It's like a military ran company and they select only the best of the best and fire more than half within a month

When things get slow you best believe that upper management will tell Scott (the operations manager) to get rid of some drivers . For anything like going 2 min over drive time. My favorite turning right on red. It’s ridiculous.

Pros

Good for new drivers. They last almost 3 months sometimes.

Cons

3 to 6 months life expectancy for drivers.

I worked for System for three years before my current job on the railroad. They were hands down the best company I have ever worked for. They had mostly good long runs and paid well if you are willing to work and drive hard knowing that you might be driving and tarping in sometimes challenging conditions. They were incredibly supportive of my National Guard service. They always got me home in time, and most of the time had a load tarped and preloaded on a trailer for me when my military duty was over so I could hit the road and not lose money. They have a fantastic vacation and 401k benefit. I always felt treated with respect and was so proud to work there.

Pros

Benefits, culture, patriotic, great terminals and value hard work.

Cons

I really do not have anything negative to say. Stop pay for multiple loads was a little low, but not a lot of LTL so it was not a common problem.

I loved working at System. Everyone there from training to the DM's were awesome. They care about their drivers and it feels like you are part of a family. I loved working there, I just needed a better healthcare plan than they were able to offer. It was not necessarily because their health insurance isn't good, I just have a particularly difficult situation because both my wife, and especially my daughter have health conditions, which require many specialists and unfortunately most of them did not take the insurance. If you don't have a situation like mine I would definitely recommend System. It was not only the best trucking company I've ever worked for, it was one of the best companies I've ever worked for period.

How many miles does the avg new driver run per week? Is it the posted 2800 to 3000 or is it much less?

System Transport/DTS school

Wanted to start a rough journal on how my experience goes here. There hasn't been too much information about system I could find, so I thought I'd help out everyone else if I could. So I'll be updating this weekly through my schooling at DTS(In house truck driving school) and then once I'm actually on board with System. Stay tuned peeps.
