Worked here for a year. Horrible experience. They keep you busy, but there pay is horrible. Very inconsistent pay, and very low pay. You will be stacking up a credit bill working here to operate your own truck. They act like they care, but don’t care about there drivers your pay will say it all. They will #### you at every corner with fees and claims, and Won’t dispute any claims for you and will give the customer everything they ask for. You’re the one doing all the work and forking up all the risk to be mistreated while they smile in your face. Maybe pre covid moving was good, but you will be struggling just to stay in business working here. Also was told they are down over 60% of there drivers since Covid. I would say that speaks volumes. Would highly recommend staying far away from this company.

Pros

Happy staff/ maybe if your lucky Other than that no other pros but leaving as soon as possible

Cons

Inconsistent pay Claims and fees at every corner Will sit in your truck weeks on end waiting for a pickup all to have it all stolen right beneath you with god awful claims they don’t fight for you on your behalf and fuel taxes upwards of 500+ bucks. High escrow Horrible pay Horrible pay Horrible pay

I've worked for United for 6 years now as a CDL A driver. It's definitely a great place to work with good structure and Pay. They definitely know and often show the appreciation for their employees. Last year as a local CDL A driver I brought home $92000 with 95% home time.

Pros

Great Pay/Home time.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say!

I worked for United before. I had not so great experience with other companies and I had to come back. United is the best. Pay is great. Equipment is inspected and fixed, it's your job to make sure of it. If it has an issue, its because you didnt turn it in

Pros

The pay is above any other company that I've ever worked for

United Van Lines - McCollisters

Located in Burlington, NJ. Low pay (.43 CPM), especially for company drives and they lied big time. Told me I was going to be exclusively hauling electronics but they quickly turned me into a mover after one trip. (At 58 years old I did not want to be a mover) I hung in there for 3 months waiting for the right time to make a move. Gave them 2 days notice and I was gone!

As for potential lease drivers, their trucks available have over 800K miles. And their warehouse people only get paid $8.50 to $11.00 and hour and the 11 bucks was to someone who had been there over 10 years! A crappy company that people should stay away from.

United Van Lines - McCollisters

My dad has a good friend driving for the Armstrong branch and he owns his own truck a 2004 freightliner he leased from them, and he's making a killing, even after paying labor, fuel, claims and all that fun crap. It was something I wanted to do at one point, it was actually the main reason I got my cdl was to drive for United, but after I started hauling FREIGHT not household, I never looked back lol, yes the money is great, if you know what your doing, but like I said your working for every penny
