Was a great company to work for at first and then they started re-camping their dispatch and it went downhill fast. $250 was taken out of my first four paychecks and because the bumper was scuffed from hitting a road hazard in Memphis they kept the money. Don’t waste your time with these immigrants.

Pros

Decent freight customers.

Cons

Everything except for the maintenance head Chuck

Actually one of the best companies to drive for in the Chicagoland area. They have some older equipment but it is well maintained. There are a few brand new rigs, but they’re hard to get as drivers don’t leave. Dispatch is friendly and communicative. Top notch mechanical crew. Overall, very inclusive group, multi lingual, and multi national. The miles are there, and that’s what matters! Two things to note: 1. they do withhold escrow at $250 per week for the first four weeks, and there is a lot of paperwork outlining the many ways a driver can be fined. For example, not turning paperwork in, or failure to track a load with the broker during your home time. In my experience, bonus incentives work better than punitive. 2. communication can be off due to people working from different locations around the world, and because there are too many people managing the load. Broker micro management in addition to dispatch, dispatch assistant, etc. is very irritating - the job is stressful enough without a 3rd party calling and texting while you’re driving, trying to rest, or are at home off duty. Maybe if they bumped the pay to a guaranteed salary or added incentives for dealing with brokers when off/sleeping/driving then it would be tolerable. Lastly, I recommend looking over the contracts they ask you to sign carefully and getting copies for your records as there are a lot of ways they can deduct from your escrow. They are very good about letting you know what they need from you to avoid the fines. Ultimately, I highly recommend AGM. You will get miles and you will get paid, and the equipment is very very nice.
