Gardner has given me a job that suites my needs with the perfect home time situation and rate of pay for the work I do. There are also so many benefits that I enjoy. I cant wait to invite more friends to join this great team.

Albany manager is crooked. Would give them -100 in ratings if could. Equipment is not maintained, local hometime is good, pay was ok. Hostilely between manager at Albany terminal and drivers he “didn’t like”. Do not waste your time with this company unless the managers/supervisors are gone who were there before CRST took over.

Pros

Home time good for local driver. Easy job with decent pay.

Cons

Hostile environment. Albany manager plays favorites. Discrimination, equipment is not maintained well, dishonest crooked company

Equipment always broke down, writes up's for repairs is a waste of time. It don't get fixed . When the repairs are done you will bring it back 3 times on avg. to get fixed right Vacation pay Is $10 hour, only 3 holiday $10 hr. sick day pay you have to fill a request form or you won't get paid. I got fired because of Safety which they push all the time It's #1 they say. I called the safety issue of telling me use a forklift which was under rated to load myself with. I called it unsafe. . My advise is to pass this place up.

Pros

nothing really

Cons

cheap, safety is not first the load is first

Gardner Trucking In Washington State

I've only talked to one of their drivers that was really happy. He was on a local-dedicated gig in the Bay Area. I've talked to several that hated it.

Dont work for Gardner Trucking out of California

Seriously do not work for Gardner Trucking based in Chino California. I only worked there to get the minimal experience needed to get hired on at a good trucking company. I have to say that I am glad that I am able to leave that hell. The dispatchers are abusive in their powers. They will deadhead you all over the greater Los Angeles area only to give you a load that pays only $40 dollars. I worked as a local driver for David C., Freddy B., and Luis B. On average in a 12 to 14 hour shift I would make 100 dollars a day. There is alot of stand by and deadhead miles which you DO NOT get paid for. Several times I would be sent with a load to Oxnard CA from LA. I would call dispatch after I was empty they would say "Sorry bro. There's nothing coming back right now." David had a habit of doing that. I averaged 400 deadhead miles per week. All detention time and dropped empty trailer pay would have to get approved by Tom L. in order to be paid. So that meant that he wouldn't put his signature on your paperwork for a couple of weeks. Which meant it would take a month for you to get paid for something that you did that work week. Trust me. Run for the hills if you are ever offered a job at Gardner Trucking. It is an abusive company.

Dont work for Gardner Trucking out of California

Most drivers in cali know about gardner. They dont pay. They spend the money on making the trucks look good. Who cares about the drivers. They have no problem finding drivers who don't know better.

Best Tanker Co in SoCal?

Best Tanker Co in SoCal?

·        Been driving for about a year and a half now with Gardner Trucking. I'm done killing my experience time with them and am so ready to go fuels. I just recently applied and interviewed with Pacific Tank Lines but after reading so many bad reviews I'm starting to have my doubts about them.

·        So let get this right, have you been driving for Gardner for 1 1/2 years or have you driven for 1 1/2 years period ? What did you do a Gardner, flatbed, doubles, doorslammer ? Did they pay you percentage, hourly, or per mile ?

·        1.5 years TOTAL. WITH Gardner I did some Flatbed, was doing Double Flats for a bit (didn't get paid #### for the work you put in) and now I'm just Vans. I'm hourly right now.

·        I know someone personally that gave his two week notice due to the same issues your going thru. And he has about the same time experience you have. Before his two weeks came up, they offered him and almost match where his new job was going to be. To say the least, he is happy. Talk to the recruiter JT or JP I think his name is. I would stick out at Gardner at least until you reach 2 yrs exp. If your a valuable driver to them, you will be surprised what they will do to keep you around. They just don't want all the drivers to know. Good luck

·        Haha bro, I've seen it myself. Drivers threatening to leave, and end up staying because Gardner caved in to them. I like this company because the work is there, and to be honest it's not all that bad. I just hate that there is no incentive to work toward. The one thing we did have (safety bonus 2x a month) is not gone. And raises?? Forget it. There's guys that have been here 5+ years and making what I make or less. You are right though, maybe I just tried jumping into the gas game too early. I will have a talk with JP though and see what we can work out. Thanks man.
