This company has turned into a total joke. Gas haulers required to attend UNPAID meetings for information and training. New pay scale is a total rip off. They are disorganized beyond belief. You go to work for 12 hours a day…..come home and spend 2 hours a day trying to get times fixed with driver manager and dispatch. Not to mention the countless other nonsensical issues that pop up working for this disorganized, disgraceful conpany. They are way more concerned about their image on social media than who they REALLY are. What a bunch of frauds. A never ending stream of nonsense videos for employees to watch. Social justice causes and other low IQ content. A family ran company and family friendly……but only if your last name is Groendyke. They are more than aware of the problems drivers have with their company at this point. They just do not care.

Pros

A pay check

Cons

They think they OWN you Too much time spent at work UNPAID Too much non-work related nonsense A high school culture of backstabbing gossipers Bad insurance Bad management Backstabbing, gossip riddled work environment

They set you up to fail. If you don't fall in with the "in" crowd, the slightest issue will be absurdly exaggerated. Trainers do things inconsistently then blow up if you ask for clarification. They also refuse to answer simple yes/no questions. Then, if you have the audacity to respond with frustration, they blow up at you. Then they run to the driver manager who has no interest in solving any problems, and tell him that you're the problem. If you want to work with unprofessional and immature little boys, this is the place for you. They do everything they can to create problems just so they can point the finger at you.

Pros

None that I could find

Cons

Unprofessional management. Immature and emotional trainers.

The trainers lie to the managers about you. The trainers will tell you that your doing great and then managers will then fire you without telling you why.

Pros

They make you think you are doing well

Cons

And then fire you without telling you why!

The trainers will sell you out and tell the Manger (Jason) in Tulsa that you are not progressing , while they tell you you are doing great and are progressing. The trainers will change equipment and procedures on you while you are in the middle of unloading sulfuric acid. They will then blame you for getting acid on yourself and not following procedures. Jason and Mike will also tag team you in a meeting, that they call at the last minute, to tell you how unsafe you are, that you should know expectations without being told or instructed to do, and be blamed for there lack of instructions. They also don't tell you that you will be standing outside in a yellow plastic suit for 3 to 4 hours while it is 108 degrees outside. This place is morally and organizationally bankrupt. So if you want to be treated like crap, be paid $17 hour while outside in 108 degrees, and be demanded and lied to, this is the place for you.

Pros

They give you equipment for the job.

Cons

The trainers will lie to you to your face and say you are doing great while they tell the manager the opposite. They demean you and treat you like crap behind closed doors.

Groendyke colorado springs (fountain)

Thought I would update this post ..
I started with Groendyke on Tuesday it's a local job not regional the recruiter didn't have a clue about the Fountain colorado terminal.
I'm currently driving a decent kenworth day cab with a 13 speed , they also have a few internationals with super 10s.
About 20 drivers total everyone seems pretty laid back . The terminal manager has been great so far . And my trainer has over 30 years hauling fuel .
We pick up from several different racks in the colorado springs area and deliver to fuel stations . Very fast paced and lots of brain work I enjoy both!
Pay is percentage not mileage basically each load has a set pay unless they add a drop or send you to Denver for the pickup .
Blue cross blue shield insurance not sure exactly what the cost is yet but it looked to be reasonable.
Overall I'm happy with the switch. Being home everyday is going to take a little time to get used to after spending almost 4 years otr . But I am loving all my free time !!!!

Just an update been running solo for a couple weeks now everything is going smoothly , starting to learn where most of the local stations are just by hearing their number wich helps not having to take the time to get the map book out to see where they are , currently I'm averaging 4 loads in roughly 9 hours wich is just shy of 200 bucks a night sometimes a little more depending on the loads I run , so roughly 20 to 22 bucks an hour and home every night , and I'm at the very bottom of their pay scale at 22% or 16 an hour for sitting , first full check was a gross of 2100 for 2 weeks

I am at the colorado springs terminal hauling fuel locally and so far I love the job , and my terminal is pretty laid back . I can't speak for other terminals but I like the terminal manager here, real nice lady and the 2 dispatchers will bend over backwards to help you out

Slowed down a little here the last week or so , the senior drivers say it's just because school started back up ,

We are finally getting some of the new freightliner day cabs that they ordered , I haven't actually been in one yet but I hear they have all the bells and whistles including cameras , not sure if there is a driver facing cam or not I've heard it both ways but when I find out for sure I will let everyone know.

Overall I'm still happy here .
