Terrible equiptment, alot of sitting around not getting paid.was laid back tho.alot of paperwork, stuck in the 80s.might be getting new trucks now.

they have an areospace and machinst union covering them or something like that, atleast they did when i was there.good starter comp.they will run you if you want.let me know if you get hired i still know a guy or two there, ill give em a heads up.good guys for the most part.high turnover.

the owner hates the teamsters and wont deal with them from what i was told.

There is a nemf yard around the corner from where I drive out of. I see many of their trucks on a daily basis and the tractors and trailers are old and beat up. They still have the old eastern freight ways trailers on the road

I Ran for 3 yrs as a P&D driver for New England Motor Freight, thier trucks maybe older but that company takes care of their trucks, and as a company driver i had good benefits, vacation pay, and paid by the Hour... only reason why i left was because I wanted more of an adventure in OTR.. I do miss being home every night, off on weekends paid holidays, and vacation pay..

This was one of my best gigs. i did linehaul and the only reason i left was because of a personal situation at home. i wouldn't say it's off the table to possibly go back.

And the trucks were fine---although a little slow at 62mph

Are you sure they hire new drivers? It's a decent LTL job, though not the best out there. They are union, but aren't Teamsters; they're in with the machinists. I'm not sure exactly what their benefits are. The equipment has been getting better in recent years.

If you want to be home every day it would beat any sleeper gig you'd get starting out. The specifics about any LTL gig will vary according to the local terminal, so a new hire could have it sweet in one location but rough in another.
