Pros
Newish equipment. Decent pay. Better than swift.
Cons
Dispatchers push to limit. Eat new drivers up. Equipment is never fixed until it breaks down. Home time always a day later than you want it to be.

40k a year appx. For first year. Dispatchers can be very rude and abuse their drivers. Pay is decent. Better than swift pay. .45 cents a mile.

Pros
Very nice trucks and staff is friendly
Cons
Did not seem like their actual trainers were interested in training our class at all. It is difficult to learn how to drive a truck if you are rarely in one. We did no mapping or ELD training.

Trainers did not even train my class. One did pretrip with us one time. Trainers who were at the terminal because their trainees were testing on the road that week did our training along with working with their trainees. Also a couple of experienced drivers who did orientation and were waiting for their trucks trained us. A few drivers who had mechanical issues were at the terminal all week waiting for their trucks to be repaired and not making money. Their trucks are very nice though. A lease operator told me he had to pay for his tv, program they use (like direct tv- can’t recall the name), and his refrigerator.

Pros
Good equipment. Pay weekly and accurate. Pre plans to keep busy. No problem stopping for safety reasons.
Cons
Western regional routes deliver in some ugly weather. Health insurance is costly for avg coverage. No 401k matching

Nothing hidden with this company. They deliver exactly what they say. Sometimes slower than you might want. But being human sometimes it takes longer. Big enough company to be able to buy new trucks. Small enough to know you on sight and by name when passing through the yard. 2500 miles in a week is a slow week.

Pros
Everything. Family type environment, great people, great training, and overall great company.
Cons
Only con I can even come up with, is that my television subscription isnt free. That's it. And I had to think pretty hard to even come up with it.

I'm finishing up the CDL training program at Wil-Trans now. So far, there hasn't been ANYONE that I have had a problem with or didn't get along with for any reason. It's a smaller company, so it's like a family here. My trainers were great! Both on site, and the OTR trainers. I passed my CDL test in one try because they know what they're doing. The on site trainers are very laid back and don't drill you when you make a mistake, they let you learn from it and move on. The training manager is a great guy. Makes a point to face to face congratulate everyone that passes their CDL tests and wants to see all of his students be successful. After I spoke with my recruiter about coming to orientation, I received a personal welcome phone call from the training manager and knew from that moment that I would love the company and it has been everything I expected and more!
