Even brand new trucks will want a regen if idled long enough.

You can also try putting in a couple jugs of that store bought def to make a code like that go away. Sometimes it is just a low quality def and the jugs are as pure as can be had and can clear the code.

Also paying someone an hour and a half to change the def filter is ridiculous, that’s a ten minute job.

I ended up doing exactly that. Bought a bottle of the pure DEF from inside and topped off the def and ran it the rest of the day after doing a 30 minute manual regen.

Cleared the L2 error, but not the L1 error.

Had the codes read this morning, and nothing critical showed up, so I had the codes cleared.

Ran all day today with no codes, so I'm pretty sure I just got a bit of dirty DEF.

Well, after 110 days out, I am heading for home time.

Truck is paid off. Cash on hand is 3k. Credit available is 22k.

Will be using new Ford Transit to finish emptying climate controlled storage in GA and moving it to SC. That will save me @250 per month immediately.

Need to do my taxes, and get permanent tags for the van when I get to SC.

Will be looking for a decent shop in the Columbia, SC area. Anyone have suggestions for a solid shop to work on 2016 model Freightliners?

I will no longer be using Crete terminals for a base for my home time.

Will also be looking into the new Schneider o/o contract, if they are willing to share it with me.

If the Schneider contract changes are as bad as I have heard, I will look more closely into Landstar, and getting my hazmat cert so I can apply to them.

Time at Crete is running out, but they will be getting at least two weeks notice from me, no matter what.

There are other companies out there.

Landstar and Schneider aren't the only game.

I had a 98 extended cab 4cylinder manual I bought used when gas got expensive 12 years ago.

Hated that truck, underpowered with tools in it and krappy mileage.

Hydraulic clutch on yours was failing, good time to trade it off.

    Farmerbob1 Thanks this.

I will not be under my own authority. Not sure I will ever go that far into o/o.
