This is the the one we have in the shop. The inflatable bladders are really nice and give a spot to enter the smoke.

Hey, grab a cigar and blow in a hose for all I care.

But the smoke will find the leak.......fast.

There are cheaper options out there......

spsauerland, Flint1 and nikmirbre Thank this.

I guess it just gets weak, and can't hold the valve closed anymore. Once it gets forced open, it dumps all your boost. Makes the turbo bark which is super hard on the shaft. Can even blow your induction off the front of the turbo, if the clamp isn't tight enough.

I unplugged mine to narrow it down, and that stopped it. But I don't think you can do it without going into limp mode, or derate. I've got an older ISX.

The two-wire underneath the EGR valve. Turn on key for thirty seconds first. Then unplug it. After it cured my turbo bark, I knew my EGR was failing. It would bark at wide open throttle. It should only do that if you cut throttle at high boost. Never at full throttle, though.

    nikmirbre Thanks this.
