I want to put this out there, I was recently selected to be on the “driver advisory board”, our first quarterly meeting is March 31st. If any FCC drivers have anything they would like me to bring up in these meetings for discussion please send me a PM. During these meetings we will meet with each department head, along with Tim.

I’ve started to put together a list of questions for various folks. Thanks in advance.

I have a busy weekend ahead. I will drop this load in Council Bluffs tomorrow morning, then go to Nestle in Crete to take a load to Belton, MO. After dropping that, I will head up to the KC yard to pick up a trailer going to Wayne, NE for a drop. I will then head down to Lincoln to grab a Kawasaki load to Ontario, CA and head to the house.

If all goes as planned, I will be home early Sunday evening and will be off until Friday when I head out of the house to CA.

It's a nice change of pace that FCC has me work all weekend instead of sitting on this load until Monday morning. At Magnum I would've done that or just had a load delivering into OKC or something on Friday and be told just deadhead 4 hours home after the fact and be home 2-3 days early.

Also, when I pull into town Sunday afternoon, I will have driven about 3,450 miles from last Sunday. And that includes a reset and a couple 5.5 hour days in between. I think I made the right decision coming to this company.

They have the freight, and will run your pecker into the dirt. I have friends at other carriers right now where freight is slow and are sitting around waiting for loads. That’s why I came back here, I saw where the freight levels were headed, and wanted the security of a company like FCC.

Enjoy the time off next week.

They’re a well oiled machine as they say…being so well organized makes making $$$ fairly easy with minimal stress..that’s why they’re one the few carriers left that are worth it work for..

So I had the pleasure today of running across a driver I’ve followed for along time here on TTR, @bzinger I enjoyed the conversation as we eased through the gorge today. Hope you made it safely down to the coast today.

It was a total pleasure! And it isn't every day i run across a driver with the obviously high IQ you displayed, I usually run across people like the two idiots that passed us in the gorge that are about 1 IQ point above having a tail .

Runningman, I did go to Sumter for a BD load to Broken Bow recently but it's rare to do those like we used to. Been off this week. My mom died last Wed and was in Kissimmee FL for her funeral on Monday. She was 88. Circle of life. I am fine, Will be back this week. And looking forward to it!

Bd and I go back to my cornhusker days many years ago , good freight tho and pays decent .
All I haul for them these days is the temp controlled stuff tho .
When @runningman0661 caught up to me this morning in NC he thought maybe I was going to four oaks which I also do but I have a beer load on going to Summerville NC, then up to Sumter SC for a bd load to Plainfield ind .
Sorry to hear about Cowpies passing! , he and I used to BS occasionally at bd facilities.
Does anyone here remember Jim monaghan from omaha ? He passed in 2015 .

    dwells40 and runningman0661 Thank this.
