This picture here is what my company provides to mount my CB in my 2021 Cascadia 20230225_170605.jpg

My Cascadia at my old company had the same set up but I always used a cigarette lighter plug to power my CB. But that caused unwanted interference both with my CB and the radio in the truck. So my question is, how do you hook up to these posts? I'm very aware that black goes to black and red goes to red, but other than that I don't have a clue. I spent like 10 minutes one day struggling to figure this out. Maybe I'm just too dumb to figure this out. I am pretty ignorant when it comes to this kind of stuff. Google and YouTube haven't been much help either.

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Cut the lighter plug end off. Strip about a 1/4” of insulation from each wire, then twist the strands together and insert into the holes between the two plastic pieces and screw the ends down finger tight.

If you have a soldering iron, I'd tin those twisted leads to make 'em easy to insert in the holes. Not the end of the world either way though
