I hate politics so much. We’ve reached a compromise. They’re ignoring me and I’m sitting in a hot truck in Georgia. I don’t mind because I’m fasting. And if I can wait until Thursday at least the most they’ll be able to steal from me is 475 miles. Know any great companies hiring in a down economy for a guy with limited experience? I have a list of about a dozen mediocre companies that might.
How do I play this game?

Western Express is essentially the number one second chance company out there, so best luck to you.
You were given an early chance to gut out a bad situation and you quit. Air conditioning breaks, heaters break, stuff goes wrong. Welcome to trucking.
And even if you lose $3000 it's less than what WE has spent training you and putting you in a truck. So let's stop pretending you're being robbed.
While I appreciate your levity, it's also confounding. The best thing you can do is bury the hatchet with WE before it's too late, apologize for being a pain in the butt noob, and grind it out for a year.
But it sounds like you've already strapped yourself to the bomb, so yee haw.austinmike and Chi Town Steers Thank this. -

I think you intend to live in the truck. My recommendations were in the Nashville area and get home on weekends. I'd recommend Averitt Express, Venture Express/Logistics, Old Dominion, Saia, Estes. I retired a couple of years ago, so my info was only fresh until then. Please ask the company recruiter or representative to have a few current drivers for that company contact you so you can ask them questions.hope not dumb twucker and Chi Town Steers Thank this.
