last pickup purchase didn't work out so I picked this up yesterday

96 Chevy 3/4 ton

Don't really need a 3/4 ton but it just happened to be right here in town so oh well. Nothing special under the hood, just a good ol' Chevy 350. It does have a long bed which i like

One positive of it being a 2500 is that is has the 4L80, instead of the 4L60 slushbox

 

Oh, and speaking of Shelby….

They have posted a change to their parking area. You go to guard shack as normal but when you go to the Office to check in, they now want us to drive around that parking area and park facing away from the Office. Instead of normally pulling up facing the office then driving around to leave.

Minor issue for us but I guess a Driver said or did something when an employee went to check the seal of a truck and now they want all trailer checks to be on security cameras.

no, they don’t normally check our seals so it’s not really for us but anyway.

and it’s a shorter walk for them if the tail end is closer to the door too.

 

Unfortunately, FCC is falling behind in the Benefits Area… I will be discussing this issue during my annual review…

Ac worked the next morning in the truck.

Delivered in Brenham yesterday morning, after a lightning delay at their facility.

Headed to Houston for a load of palletized LVP flooring from our granite place we move loads for. This load delivers today-Monday. I’m pushing for today.

It’s been a few months back that I went in there, but Shelby was set up that way then. I never knew differently, but I could see why there were so many signs now.
